There are three top local drivers this year, Mark Dobmeier (25 wins), Danny Smith (23 wins), and Fred Rahmer (18 wins). Which Outlaw should the best local driver (whoever it may be) be ranked in front of, in this years 410 Driver of the Year Poll?

Wayne Johnson had as much 410 success as anyone without being a steady 410 driver. won the race at volusia, then won knoxville prelim. it may not have shown in ascs pts. - but he had quite a year winning some money shows. especially during So. Iowa Sprintweek. and also won the Canadian Nationals at Oshweken - which aint no slouch - they get a lot of cars up there. good ones, with a lot more experience at that track than he had (first timer).
i cant really comment past that. I mean, Dewease did win that Lowe's race in the summer. that was cool. dont know if i would seriously ran anyone ahead of those listed tho - the weakest ont here (KK) really came on strong at the end of the year.
there really isnt a lot of basis - ever - in comparing different series and drivers. nothin wrong with speculating tho.

I wouldn't call Dewease a local driver this year. Sounds like he will be again next year though.

JMO but Kraig would be fortunate to crack the top 20 or maybe even 25 in the NSCHoF poll.

I see a lot of people think the locals should even be ranked in front of Schatz? Here, I thought I was being belligerent wanting our guys ranked in front of Meyers...lol. The way I look at it you have to give our guys home field advantage, and would Schatz be able to win a majority of the time against Dobmeier at his home tracks in the midwest? I think the answer is probably the same as it is at Williams Grove.
