Jackson Speedway Update:

The Banquet will be on Saturday, January 24^th at the Armory in Jackson.

The 305 Sprints will follow the Midwest 305 rules for the 2009 Season.

Spring Sprint Nationals Friday May 8^th.

Season Opener May 23^rd.

Might take the week of the Knoxville Nationals off.

Jackson Nationals will be August 20, 21 & 22

Will take off August 29^th (Rain date for Jackson Nationals)

Hornets will be added to the program for 2008 and will be Fairmont Rules.

No Outlaw date.

I will write a more details when my attitude gets a little better.

Jon: Give the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders a call in Burlington, Iowa and put together a show. They have an awesome group of 360s and bring a great following of fans. You won't be disappointed.

Jon, stick yur neck out and run a couple 410 shows on your own.

I'll drive for ya Kent. I currently run a 99' B3000 with a 3.0 Liter Ford. Tops out at about 85....

I have been sticking MY OWN neck out for the last 20 years. If Jon wuld have a couple of 410 races I will stick MY OWN neck out and have my car there. I think it is very feasable with a weekly 410 track just 90 miles down the road. I think Jackson could use a couple of 410 races in 2009. Be a lot better then the hornets!!!!!!!!

true that, i think it will add more fans to the stands with a couple 410 races then it would with a full season of hornets, but hey thats why im not a promoter

We have been trying to find a sponsor or two to step up and sponsor a 410 race. Hopefully we can get something done.

I, along with many others, will come from 90 miles away if there would be a 410 show that didn't go up against Knoxville.

I am going to disagree with the 410 show idea on the grounds of what happened for the Friday night open 410 show about 4 years ago. 14 cars. Thats it. Kent, you are tremendous supporter of sprintscar racing, but unless you are going to build 5 cars to help fill the field, it isn't going to happen. The track is too big and not enough 410 guys will travel unless you bring in a sanctioning body.

I will agree with the post above, what should be done is to contact the SIA and therefore bring around 10-12 cars from the Knoxville area for a show.

or....

Jon, call the NSCHOF and ASCS and see if they will let you present the Brodix TOC for a year. That would be one hell of a show, plus if you put in the Friday of the Jackson Nationals, could pump your National field up to around 65-70 cars. You would draw a crowd with that many cars, plus you would have a nice back gate.

kent, if you are such a big shot and want this 410 deal put the checkbook where your mouth is and give jon a break. he has done a great job and where were you for the full season last yr. if you cant be there weekly to criticize. the why he wants the speedway to go.

racefan_360, maybe you should use spellcheck and learn some grammer before you post! Kent was just expressing his opinion to Jon about putting on a 410 show next year.

I was in no way bashing Jons efforts and dont know how you got that out my post? Why not bring the IRA back to Jackson, they bring a lot of cars?
