He didn't get the triple crown, he didn't get the midget championship this year.

He did get it last year. So, USAC is calling him a Triple Crown winner and I will too.

That was a phenomenal race. Bulldog won it after an insane battle with Hines and Hockett - Hockett blew while leading after a torrid battle with Hines, Cottle and Swindell. That was some of the best racing I've ever seen - and I do mean ever. Thanks to Dean Mills, Rob Klepper and USAC for the coverage.

You are absolutely right. Kevin drove his ass off. That's the way sprint car racing should be. Wow.
Let the complaining began....

Thank You USAC !!! The Live Feed was Outstanding both night !! Without a Doubt, the "BEST" Racing i've seen in years, Most Possibly Ever, Unreal Side by Side Racing every lap for those top 5-6 spots !! Swindell was Definately a Man on a Mission both night, working the Low Line on night 1 for the Win, an then seeing the Low Line go away an Move up Top on Night 2 for the Win. it was a Beautiful thing. Kevin Swindell is a undeniably a Car owners Dream Driver, giving 110% everytime he Staps into the Car. Congrats Kevin

When is Kevin going to get another full-time ride? He has had some great results this year even while running a limited schedule...

I hope he is back with USAC next year. Congratulations to the Bulldog on a great win. Also to the team owner and Sammy. Amazing battle between Hockett and Swindell. As of this date both have to be the best non-wing, traditional sprint car drivers in the country.

The most talented teenage racer in the country, hands down! He has already won more racers on dirt and pavement with and without wings than about anyone that ever lived, versatility is his trademark! Read that last sentence again and pay attention before you lose your mind, folks, lol. Winged, non-winged, dirt and pavement, it don't matter to this racer!
Haven't kept in touch with the family for years so I don't know what the future holds but success should be a major part of his life down the road, can't wait to watch it unfold. Congrats Bulldog, the Acorn does NOT fall from the tree, Take It Easy....

This is a censored and slightly rewritten email to a friend. I like Kevin, and the show and that race in particular was great, but to call Kevin "smooth" that night? LOL

Kevin is censored crazy!! He pulled some censored and got away with it, and I don't know how. Jerry had to have been thinking the same thing and I'm not sure if he even wanted to get in front of him again,,LOL Hockett may have been willing to play like that with him, but man, I haven't seen a engine grenade like his did as he was hauling down the back chute in a long time. I mean right now, with a BIG flash fire and it locked her up. He was sitting side ways at the end of the back stretch, but it was like a big flare went off and everyone got around him OK.. I think some Vets in the pit's must have hit the ground. That back property for RV/Camping that they open up was great idea. A lot of fan's, crews, diver's, and some of the haulers etc were back there. I spent my morning's and part of the day back there shooting the bull with a lot of very nice people. Sammy, Kevin and the crew had backed that car out of the trailer both day's and went over it with a fine tooth comb. They spent hours on it and Sammy was serious as hell, as usual, and I didn't even attempt to talk to him, but Kevin was a little chatty and UP.
Tony Elliot sat up with our bunch again this year. I've been bull censored with him for the last few years. He won the deal about 5 years ago, but he's just like one of the boy's in the stands. He love's it all, a real fan, he fits right in. I asked him how he liked hauling it into turn three on the big 1/2 and he just said, "it's a little dark"..LOL Kenny
