On the presidential poll topic (that is anchored to hoseheads) I made this exact same point and got lit up like a candle covered in jet fuel...
I am happy that people are free to express their opinions, however this is not the correct forum... maybe hoseheads could set-up a political section of hoseheads and ppl could post their views on that section...
I live in Ohio, I have a two advanced degrees in law and politics, between my job and the NEVER ENDING commercials that make both candidates sound like ax murdering child molesters (sort of like some of the uh... well, uh... factual inaccurate things that are posted on this site...) I hear enough about politics... I am guessing my PA Posse brethern have seen enough commercials too... seriously unless you live in Ohio, PA, or Florida I think it is hard to understand how much political stuff we get smashed with... since I left Friday morning for the World Finals, I rec'vd 6 phone messages at my house, Obama and McCain have been within 5 minutes of my porch, I have rec'vd 10 emails, and since 4ish I have seen approximately 30 McCain/Obama commercials... even better is the random ppl from out of town that canvass the neighborhood, ask you questions, want to survey you, etc... or the non-stop news coverage...
Hoseheads should be a safe place away from that...
Thus, I concur with the original poster... I ask our faithful leader to either (1) move political posts to another section of hoseheads; or (2) remove them...
I wish Earl still did Eldora's track prep.

I agree. All this other b.s. about the poloitics and other sports (football games), totally off topic and should be on other boards besides the race boards. Not many people want to come on here to find a whole page of threads that has titles of 'Obama, McCain, Ohio St. vs. Penn St., etc..' I don't like having to go through all the pages just to see what's being said in racing. Take it somewhere else.

It is easy to bitch about whats on a posting, to bad the bitchers have only posted 1209 times on the board.
If ya don't like the topic, start one of your own, or add to one.
If not for the BS on here, this board would be as boring as a Minnesota stock car board. lol

The nation's coal industry is in shock today with word that Barack Obama plans to put such severe penalties on coal-fired power plants that it will bankrupt them. A coalition of business leaders says such a move would jeopardize the jobs of hundreds of thousands of people who work in the coal industry. Senator Obama's plan for putting severe financial penalties on coal-fired power plants has been made public on a YouTube video which contains audio of comments he made in San Francisco in January 2008. "What I've said is that we would put a cap-and-trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else's out there," the Democratic presidential candidate said. "I was the first to call for a hundred-percent auction on the cap-and-trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases that was emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted-down caps that are imposed every year. "So if somebody wants to build a coal power plant, they can," Obama concluded. "It's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greeenhouse gas that's being emitted." A press release from the Western Business Roundtable is calling on politicians of all stripes to denounce such a plan, and encouraging voters to hold those politicans accountable for whether they support the coal industry

I agree with keeping a sprint car forum mostly on the topic of sprint cars. "In the day" this was a 90% sprint car forum. I still visit the forum but a whole lot less than I used to. Life is about change.

Do what I do. If I see something I like I read it. I f I see something I don't like I don't read it. It is that simple!! It is a GENERAL sprint car forum. You can talk about anything. If it said Sprint Car Forum Only, maybe it would be different??? I doubt it!!

Oh please... censorship; book burnings; witch hunts; fag bashing... it's all good. Who we gonna put in charge?
Don't like the topic, keep on scrolling!
I've got a sprint car related question...
Where'd Chuck get the design for Kinser's new chassis? Thieving bastards has a nice ring to it!

Let people post what they want. Many times nobody has anything to say about racing.

You guys love to argue, how about a compromise, the moderator would require any post, not racing oriented, would have a symbol indicating the post as non racing. That way anyone not wishing to read non racing messages could simply move on.If the poster fail to mark his post as such, the moderator would delete it.....as close to fair as I can come up with.

Impressive but off topic except for the mention of the PA Posse..OH! that reminds me, Pennsylvania went 2-1 for Obama. Now that's a bit of good news for me, but I'm not a lawyer.

I guess I have been away too long. I didn't know this was just a sprint car only forum, but rather a forum where the one thing we ALL have in common is a love for sprint cars. With that common thread, wouldn't it be a bit redundit to limit it to sprint car conversation only. I enjoy seeing any and all threads, jokes, political conversation or sports talk from fellow sprint car fans. When I go to a track I speak of many things other than just racing. It's the fact that I am talking to fellow sprint car fans that is important to me.

oh please Duane. there was a chassis with several innovations on both the front and rear halves that performed incredibly well this season.
the funny thing is, the design Kinser "gave" to that POS for his "new" chassis included a modification that served no other purpose than ease of installation for the rear axle...
don't take my word for, look at it for yourself.
chuckle all you want but me thinks a re-write is forthcoming on someone's mission statement.

our faithful leader??? there's no way in hell someone with "two advanced degrees in law and politics" can be referring to Allan Holland...
so, do you have an advanced degree, one in law and one in politics; or do you have two in each? and since a law degree is usually an advanced degree in and of itself, does this mean you're a JD?
