Please note that Race Receivers are mandatory at Texas DIRT. They sell for about $180 at Day's Motorsports in Tyler. I have a call in to see if rentals will again be available for at the track this show.

Ark-La-Tex will also be using Race Receivers in 2009. We just gave out 21 of them at the points awards this past Sunda

CORRECTION!!

Race Receivers are NOT mandatory for the Turkey Nationals, just recommended. The track does use them but you do not have to have one to race in THIS event.

Sorry for any confusion...

fuel price update from the Shreveport area....

The Walmart on Mansfield road in Shreveport had regular at $1.72 yesterday!

Diesel dropped another 5 cents at the Haughton Pilot at I-20, exit 38 to $2.58 per gallon. That's $2 less per gallon than the peak this past summer! Very Happy Probably can find some 2.40s around the area this week.

Hopefully the fuel prices stay down and we don't get that holiday, just-because, bump-up for our Turkey Nationals and our December shows. Cool

On the Hot Stocks/Dirt Stocks/Arkansas Hobby Stock/Southern Stock/etc. rules for the Turkey Nats......

--- 2-barrell carburetors only (or...)

David Hill reports that a 4-barrell Southern Hot Stock can race IF the air cleaner is removable and the back two bowls are unhooked.

--- flat tappet cam only

--- Any tires and wheels

for more, call the numbers on the flyer.

Here's another fuel price update from the Pilot at exit 33, I-20, just east of Shreveport from this morning, Wed, Nov 26th!

Regular: 167.9

Diesel: 249.9

Reports from other areas have the prices even lower. Anyone got a diesel price from the TX-LA state line, I-20? Flying Js, etc.?

Who knows what's going to happen next year with the economy, fuel prices, etc. You better come join us THIS Saturday at Texas DIRT for the Turkey Nationals while the gettin's good!!!
