Heard Brent (I kind of doubted Brent would be there) and Tim were coming, but as of Friday, no entries. Same with Kevin Swindell. Steve Kinser has the World of Outlaws World Final race in North Carolina next week. Seth has been an infrequent competitor with us this year and has confined most of his racing to Victorville. He has not entered the Oval Nationals.

Maybe we will get a better read on the Kaedings, and Swindell, now that the Trophy Cup has concluded. Hopefully they will be there next week though.

Was at Trophy Cup and was told by TK's crew that the Roth car will be at Perris. Kevin Swindell should also be there along with Kyle Hirst. Brian and Brent Camarillo are also coming. Phoenix cars should include Andrew Reinbold, and maybe Mike Leslie. All these drivers have not entered yet, but should get the car count up to 60 by Thursday as a few on the list will not be there.

Slight chance Shane Stewart could pull in, and he said I could quote him on that, but he than tore some equipment up on Saturday in a scramble race at Tulare, so I wouldn't count on him being there. (Stewart is planning on running the New ASSC series next year)

Tk and BUD will be there but not Brent (in a car). Brent crashed REALLY HARD saturday night at Tulare, but he was not planning on racing before that crash anyway. TK crashed really bad his Perris car Thursday night (it never returned to the track the weekend), but Roth has plenty of cars.

Forsberg and Shane Golobic will not be there due to economic reasons. (they stated they would have to finish 2nd in the main on Saturday just to break even for the weekend) but they really wanted to race there, but money is tight. Look for Golobic to race more at Perris next year or to race back in the Midwest without a wing.

Tyler Walker said he would like to run Perris, but his equipment is being shipped to Australia plus he is racing for Kasey Kahne the same weekend in NC for the Nationally Televised WOO race.

Randy Hannigan doesn't like non wing stuff and said he was finished for the season, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him pull into NC too after his win in Tulare.

I tried to get as many drivers to come to Perris, but it just didn't make economic sense to them. But Shane Stewart did surprise me Smile They all would like to race Ventura for $5k too, but Ventura has some weird engine rules too, so I guess only locals can run their stuff, that kinda suks frown

Cool to hear Kyle Hirst is coming, supposely he is smaller than Brad Sweet, but he definetly is a gaser!

If I was a betting man, i would put some money on Damion's new shaver engine, Dave Darland in Benic's car, and it would be hard to bet against Brad Sweet after some of his big wins this year- Belleville/Knoxville/Tri-city Midget wins plus last weeks Trophy CUp in Wing Sprints, and some on Tony Jones after his 4 wins in row. And it would be hard to bet against Cory if he is feeling well!

Is it Thursday yet

Oh did I forget about Bud Kaeding he seems to steal the money on Saturday too often, & TK might just take it too!

Driver change in the #6 car. Put Shon Deskins in for Todd Hunsaker.

I know for one thing, RIP will make the main one way or another wink

And those damn provisionals, get rid of those, I remember one year Tony Stewarts team used them almost every night (3) to make the main.

I remember the old days when you earned your way into Main, oh well I sound like an old fart.

If there hadn't been provisionals, than I would not had seen the night Damion started Dead last and whopped everyone so I guess there are some pluses. I guess the Knoxville Nationals and the Trophy CUp and Ventura are some of the last remaining places that don't use provisionals anymore.

ANd it would be a shame if Spencer, Levi Jones, etc Rip were not in the Oval finals, but damn every driver should earn there way into the final, no gifts or promoter options. Just the best 26 drivers after 3 days of hard racing! Is it Thurday yet- I want to see some heat races with the best drivers in the country! 3 wide of course Smile

I've heard that Hunter Schuerenberg will be driving the 7 for Mark Priestley because of Hansen's injury...? Jeff Walker had already told Schuerenberg that he wouldn't be running him at Perris...

Also, you can still count on Chris Windom, who flipped on practice night last year and had to sit out the Ovals but came back later to run really well in the Kindoll.

I think both Casey Riggs and his teammate for the Western swing, Brady Short, should be there. Casey is pretty new to sprint cars in Indiana, but his family has owned a Silver Crown car for a while, winning a championship with Tracy Hines.

Yeleys won't go to Perris. Haven't heard of anything coming together for any other Midwest guys, including Stanbrough, Rose, and Meseraull. I've heard Mellenberndt will be going to Manzy only.

I heard the same thing about Hunter in the Priestly #7. Hope all is well with young Garrett.
