Just talking to a mate of mine who knew him, a very sad day for Australian sprint car racing. Condolences to his family and friends.
A man has been killed during a sprint car race in Sydney's west, police say.
The man was driving in a race at Parramatta City Raceway when he
veered off the track and hit a concrete wall just before 10pm (AEDT)
Saturday.
The man was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be cut free.
He died at the scene.
A police spokeswoman said officers were reviewing video footage of the accident and speaking to witnesses.
The driver has yet to be formally identified, police said.

It's not my place to name him if relatives still need to be notified so I deleted his name from the post.
I don't think we've lost a sprintcar driver since cages came in.

I don't think we've lost a sprintcar driver since cages came in.

It's listed on the other Austrailian websites but I agree with your respect in handling it.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.
