Just write down Jeremy Sherman, then everyone else. You would have a pretty good chance of getting it correct. lol.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

Sherman Won. Casey Shuman was leading by a straightaway and something broke. Nathan High was then leading and jumped what cushion there was and hit the wall. Opening the door for Sherman to pick up another win. Heartbreak of the night was for Justin Grant. He towed 14 hours to be told that his motor was illegal. And that he couldn't race. After being told over the phone that it was legal. They let him hot lap during intermission. Went into turn 3 ...... And destroyed his car. I believe a couple of racers pitched in some money to help him get back home!

How can they tell over the phone whether or not an engine is legal?

He has ran the same motor at other ASCS races. And was found to be legal. So he called ahead of time here and explained what motor he had. And was given the ok to come down and run. And things changed when he got here. That's the story they were telling. I am just passing it along.

Justin has also been racing with the bandits at Hanfard. Just wondering what they found so we can bring Pete up to speed on this. Maybe other motors are like Justin's motor. So can someone please let us know.

During the intermission we were told that the heads were deemed illegal, so my guess is they were unrestricted heads. Thats just a guess though.

Best I can say is...... Here is the contact information. Kevin should be able to point you in the right direction. He was present last night and was involved in the whole thing. I am sure if you call or email him, he would be more than happy to elaborate on what the issue was.

I have been and am up to speed on this as it was brought to my attention. I understand the situation thoroughly and am working on it. I spoke with the Canyon representative and he was a very knowledgeable and personable man. He helped clarify some ideas and things I have noticed going on that may not be in the best interest of the Bandit Series and the goals.
The working on it is the global issues (the big picture) and we will let you know as soon as we come to a definitive conclusion.
Feel free to email me our thoughts and impressions at [email protected]
Justin is a fine young man, and as far as we are concerned he has been fine in the races he has competed in and will not tolerate any aspersions to the contrary. We have taken notice of the situation and believe the issues are not iscolated and need further attention.
