A search of this forum shows that last year, on October 19th, there were 50 entries.  How many cars are we looking at this year?

Early entry deadline is this Saturday. As you can see from the entry list, a lot of the locals have not entered yet. We should receive a majority of them Saturday night. Looking at a program roster, I think we could see 25 more local cars.

As for out of town cars we have heard or been told that will be there, look for: The Kaedings, K. Swindell, Shuman, Yeley (depending on anything happenning with NASCAR), Trucker's team, Hockett, Boat, Bland Jr.,Scheurenberg, R.J. Johnson, Allard. And, of course, a few show up out of the blue.

I would expect to see a minimum of 60 cars. Hopefully, even more with the declining cost of fuel.

At Calistoga, Todd Ventura indicated They were planning being There with TK in The Beefpackers 83jr, at The Gold Cup, Tom Rolfe indicated They would be There with Kevin Swindell in The #10, Its possible Shane Golobic could be there, not sure What team, I Will ask at The Ocean WOO if Jason Statler, Stephen Allard, or Jonathan Allard, or a Kyle Hirst/Finkenbinder Combination.

Some updates from the World of Outlaw show at the Tulare Thunderbowl last night:

-Bud and Tim Kaeding told me that they'd be at the Ovals, along with their father, Brent.

-Danny Faria said his 410 motors need work and is staying home.

-Peter Murphy was on hand to watch Tommy Tarlton come from the "C" main to a strong finish in the "A" main. Doctor said Peter has to sit out the rest of the year to heal his back.

-Statler, York, & Forsberg weren't there to ask.

-The young Kyle Larsen was amazing last night, making the Outlaw main by winning his heat. He told me he'd love to compete at the Ovals, but doesn't have a ride.

-Evan Suggs made his first WoO "A" main last night, but, unfortunately, as we all know he won't be running non-wing shows anymore.

Talked to York at a race a few weeks ago & he said he is not running Ovals.
