If you want to talk about a race incident then I would have to put in the fair race from the 1/2 mile. I can not remember who was driving the Tripps H/D car that night but my god it scared me and I have been around racing awhile. When a drivers feet were hanging out of the chassis while the car is flippling and the motor was tumbling down the back straight you knew that it was a bad wreck.

it was an amazing thing to see - race related or not - i wanted to share it with my fellow tibitters. i actually first saw it while me and wescoe were in Knoxville, Iowa for the 360 Nationals back in august - we got back to the room and was watchin the X Games. i actually do really like watching the X Games. good stuff imho.. and then my friend (who is collegiate soccer player - not a skater either) sent me the vid. thought folks would appreciate how crazy that was. i thought - better to get off topic with something like this than something else like - say - politics........
no i'm not a skater - never tried it - was never interested in trying it. but opposite you - i respect those who have the balls to try something as dangerous as what was in that video. - and you're horsepoo slanderous self shouldnt talk down on kids/folks that do it or like it - and drop the negative connotations that foolish close minded people have of "skaters" too. this is a niche sport just as racing. it takes many of the same attributes too - hard work, determination, audacity, and is actually much much cheaper.
you're first comment says it all. you really are a wanker. thats like someone who doesnt like racing seeing a bad wreck or fire and thinking "hope they learned their lesson" - there is utterly no difference. and it speaks volumes for you and how ignorant and hateful you are. (as if everything else hasnt already).
the point of the vid wasnt to promote skating on a racing forum - it was to share a very entertaining vid with everyone. it wasnt even to get into what the sport is about or anything. but you saw it and felt the need to try to tear it down. when i see my 9 year old nephew and his friends how much they love it and how much of a positive it is for them ----- i'll sure as hell defend it. do you like it when someone insults your favorite sport - or you for liking it? hypocrit. what a joke....
and yeah - before you cascade off into the most mundane details of posting etiquette - that you only follow when it is convenient. i'll save you the trouble. its a rebuttal. and its pointy too lol.

That was Derek Drown's brother. That was one of, if not the, last 360 races on the halfmile.

This is a race forum:
This post TITLE " The Worst Wreck I've ever seen! " would lead everyone to believe OKCFan posted a horrific race accident!
My point is that as usual, OKCFan hyped the content, and mislead the forum's readers....and to quote OKCFAN..." Caused them to waist their limited forum time"...to chase a false advertisement, for what... a x-games " SKATER" bitting the dust !!! That vid has been on FOX and Court TV and Spike TV for many weeks now. It's nothing new! I have seen so many skaters bitting it doing ridiculous stunts that its not that interesting any longer. BUT...... yes folks, I think watching a skater racking his family jewels on a stair railing is absolutely funny and Karma!! HEE HEE...
My opinion....so laugh with me or ignore me....your choice OKCFan.

The term Skateboarder is the same as Racer, Baseball Player, Pilot, Teacher, Democrat, Policeman, Skydiver, Climber, Golfer, Runner, Diver, etc etc etc etc......it's not a Name, its a term for what a person does.
In that realm individuals often cloak themselves in the security of a particular mindset that accommodates the nomenclatures associated with those practices that in turn affect how we deal with issues within that particular sect and how we are viewed by members of same. There fore we act and respond according to that which we associate ourtselves with. Hence....Skateboarder.
Now since you have demonstarted to everyone just who and what you are and how you plan to respond on this forum for " the Off Season"... I need say nothing else.

He's just a troll (not calling you a name, its just a term like liberal, skateboarder, d-bag (not racer, that is not a word that I would call you (becuase it carries a good connotation on this board (I know you love it when I use the brackets so I just keep doing it)))) that clearly isn't here to make any useful or positive post. He's basically just here to piss people off and/or draw attention to himself.
Also, I think goober is the most underrated word in the English language. I guarantee you can't say it and not laugh.

Yes, this is a racing forum. I appreciate that David provides us with Tidbits. I visit here every day to catch up on interesting racing information. I agree with most of the posts I read on here and I disagree with some of the posts I read. The bottom line is that EVERYONE, INCLUDING YOU AND OKCFAN12, IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINION! I may not always agree with OKCFan12, but I respect his right to voice it, and frankly I agree with most of his posts. I also respect your right to voice your opinions wether I agree with them or not. It does appear however, that you tend to pick fights quite frequently. I am by no means looking for a fight with you or OKCFan 12, I am just voicing my opinion. You have posted several things that I completely agree with. I found the video that he posted (the skate boarding wreck) interesting to watch and was in no way offended that he posted it on a racing forum. I had not seen it before, and I appreciated him sharing it with us.
My question is this - wouldn't it be more fun for everyone if we got along on Tidbits? We could all have interesting discussions about racing (which we all obviously love) and other random subjects that any of us find interesting.
