We should be announcing a title sponsor within a few weeks and we'll be
naming our presenting sponsors and point fund sponsors as well. Things are going very well and we have a ton of support for this new idea. 2009 should be fun if everyone comes through on building the point fund.
In November we are putting on a concert that will have multiple benefits:
1. There will be food and toys donated for a discounted admission
price at the door that will go the the "Checkered Flag Christmas"
food/toy drive.
2. $2 from each non-discounted admission will be donated to "Racers Racing For a Cure"
3. Remaining proceeds will be put into the F.A.S.T. point fund for the 2009 racing season.
The event flier is attached below. The goal of F.A.S.T. is to benefit
the 410 sprint drivers at Fremont & Attica with additional point
fund money, to bring the local community together with the area race
fans and drivers, and to attract new race fans through unique
promotions while at the same time giving the existing race fans
something extra to cheer for. I hope to see some of you in attendance.

This'll be a really neat deal that has the potential to pay big dividends to the 410 racing teams. Just the first of a number of deals designed to greatly stoke up the beneits of running at these 2 tracks weekly, by setting up a substantial third point fund.

Things are picking up steam. I'm getting calls about sponsorship instead of making them these days...and that is a great thing to have happen. I talked to someone on the Left Coast today who said they've been watching this develop and they think it is a really good thing to boost 410 racing in and around Ohio. It is our goal to showcase the talent in our own back yard. Can't wait to kick off the '09 season.
