basically the same rules as every track around with 10-12 car count every saturday night.my opinion they need to be cut back to a cheaper class like street stock was 10-12 years ago.stock steel bodies,no weight jacks, stock mount shocks, flat top, flat tappet cams, duel plane intakes, stock 10 1/2" clutches,or more towards Imca stock cars or hobby stock, except 101" wheelbase cars allowed.just my 2 cents worth.

why not just go off Enid Street Stock rules, then they all could come to the $10,000.00 to win $1,000.00 to start "Street Stock Nationals" each year!

There is a few of the rules i like, but the other 95% of the rules i don't, completly stock Frame front to back nooooooo, you can square tube the back from center of the axle back, need to run a pull bar and panhard bar, also the tire rule should be better, i could go on & on, there is alot in these rules i don't like...Cubic inch rule i like!!! Transmission rule no good, for a Auto Matic, run a torque tube not a converter, Brinn, Bert & Falcon tranny's should be allowed, so to answer your question I dont like these rules you posted only a very few of them....

thats why theres no car counts any where in street stock/pro stock classes.the've priced everybody out of racing.,with gas prices the way they are your going to have to lean more towards cheaper classes of racing to attract the average saturday night racer.first there were factory stocks, then street stocks then pro stocks then limited late models and before you know there dwindled down to no car count.look at your sport/limited mod class take off,it's a hell of alot cheaper to race than a modified, cut these cars back to a factory stock type car and pay some money you will have a full field every night.you have to remember the tires are what keeps the low budjet guy compettive with the big bucks guy.

David, It should be obvious to most people by now that those rules and a promotor that won't listen to what the racers want will continue to kill the Street Stocks in the Kansas area..I see it as having only 2 choices for the guys that would like to continue running this type of car.I have spoke to several others who share this same opinion..
Choice #1 for the promotor, continue to set yourself on your highhorse mentality, not give back to the racers,do things your own way and eventually kill the class or,,,
Choice #2 look at Enid Speedways success at offering more to the racer not only in possible Big earnings but a scuff tire rule that makes it so much easier to afford..The asphalt scuff takeoff tires are also faster on the type of track that we run on 90% of the time..If it gets to the point where we run out of the scuffs then racers can always buy new ones for about the same price as them slow a$$ Hoosier 500's..
The Enid Street Stocks are now capable of turning laps close to what some of the top modified teams are running for basically half the cost..It makes it allot more attractive to guys like us that can't afford full blown Latemodels and modifieds..The rules right now are also structered in a way to allow creativity with go fast setups and what I think are allot better looking cars to boot..
All tracks should also look at the Brinn,Bert or Falcon transmission rule in the future..They are a bit pricey new but by the time you burn up even 1 regular clutch and or a stock type transmission during a season then the money is well worth it in more ways than one..They are lighter, run cooler and overall less that can go wrong if you take care of them.
The only thing I would like to see changed in the Enid rules would be allowing Roller cams at all times in the future..The cost and severe headaches of losing cam lobes on a solid cam motor with todays oil quality and other issues makes it even harder to keep racing this class..It is much easier to build and break in a Roller cam motor with less to worry about which is also more cost efficient in the long run..
Enid's car counts were pretty decent all year even with a failing economy and high gas prices because they offer good finish pay and a good tire rule. The opportunity is always there to get a return on all the time and money that is spent running this class..They then had around 80 cars again for the SS Nationals this year..My advise to all tracks in Kansas and Oklahoma is to keep the local tire dealers out of our pockets and atleast line their rules up similier to what Enid Speedway has !

Late Model Fan, trust me if we had real late model racing here for a weekly show and could afford it we would definatly run LM's as they are my fav's, and have tracks run them all close here in the OKC area and all have the same rules oh yea it would be a go

All indications are there will be a NCRA Northern Texas/Southern Oklahoma late model series in 2009. It will pay at least $1500 to win and I think $200 to start. Will have all details once the NCRA/Oklahoma series modified division tire rule and NCRA Southern SportMod and NCRA/Oklahoma modified purse is finalized.
With 81 Speedways season wrapped up today, I look for finalization on all of the above between now and two weeks.

It's too bad promotor's in this area won't take the risk too start a latemodel class. I mean " I can't believe I'm saying this" even crate latemodels would be worth watching.
