first want to say I have been attending most sprintcar races there for at least 25-30 yrs. I arrived there sat. at 3pm and camped in the motorhome all night. The weather was beautiful both days and night. I got up Sunday had my family and a friend with me walked up to the ticket window and presented my ticket from the rained out USAC show earlier that year and was purchasing 3 more. My buddy bought his ticket and went in to check on our seats we saved the day before. The lady at the ticket office said my ticket was no good and could not exchange it. So after several trips back to talk to someone else I could not see and waiting a good 10 min with people in line behind breathing down my neck because cars were already hot lapping, I was asked to step to the side and talk to a man waiting for me around the corner.
He has a sheet and tries to explain why he could not exchange it. I tell him my side of it and he says to me " I'm a buisness man, what would you do in this situation". I explained to the jerk that if my ticket was not honored I would not be back as long as that promoter or owner was there. He started giving me the same speech again so I threw my arms up left the ticket and went and bought another one.A good buisness man would have honored the ticket and made the customer happy but this jerk was clueless went into the ticket office slamming the door.
The only reason I boght another ticket is because my buddy had paid and I knew they would not give him his money back or I would have just left right then. So with that said, great job Winchester management. It has nothing to do with the 20 bucks, it is the principle. Everyone that knows me will tell you I spend alot of money on racing and generally bring alot of people with me. After 25-30 years Winchester has got my last dollar so I hope the extra 20 bucks they made off me was worth it. I wish I knew who the guy I talked to so I could call him out by name. I hope the fans going there next week for the big stock car race dont get rain because they will probably get screwed like me if it does.

What was the reason they gave for not honoring? I know here at Knoxville they bend over backwards to trade in rain dates, etc. even if the ticket says no refunds. I have seen them mail out refunds, trade in Outlaw tickets with a regular show, trade in regular show tickets on Outlaw tickets plus the difference. Had they said no rain date, no exchange, no refunds? What was the reason they gave?
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

They said the ticket #s did not match up, that is what he was trying to show me. I have had that same ticket since the rainout in my wallet. Most tracks care about keeping their fand obviously Winchester does not.
