I would think Dale Blaney would be back after taking all the cash the first two races.

Wouldn't count on Dale being there. As long as they keep cutting the purse, I see a lack of quality cars supporting these shows. $5,000 to win first show, $4000 to win 2nd show, now $3,000 to win. Car owners have to draw the line somewhere.

I bet you will see a lot of the same cars as the last time they ran at Findlay. 3000 is still a good purse for 410 sprints. The big problem I see is charging 20 bucks to get in. if they are gonna run a weekly deal in 2009 they are gonna have to drop the price some to keep people coming every week. I will keep going to Limaland every week and only pay 12 bucks and still see good racing. If Millstream would drop there price to 12 then you could at least afford to buy a 6 dollar hamburger while you are there, LOL!

Just talked to Brandon Martin - he is done for the season. Also heard Reed will not be there. I'm sure plenty of good cars will be showing up. $3000 is more than a regular weekly show and plenty of guys aren't ready to hang it up for the season just yet. No Blaney? Then I guess someone else will have a shot at the paycheck. I look for Wilson to take this one.

I don't why he wouldn't. Two races there in 08 and he picked up the check both times. He races for a living...I would take a $3000 a week anytime!!
do it in the dirt

Dale doesn't get 100% of the purse when he wins, he probably gets 40% the rest goes to the car owner. His portion would still be good, but what's the drop off if he doesn't win.

While I agree $3,000 is a nice purse. Each race has seen the pool cut. Just my opinion, but if the drivers and owners want to race for quality purses, they need to withhold their support at times. If not, they will be racing for $800.00 to win in no time at all.

Fremont had a nice purse last week, biggest in the track's history. There are bigger purses you just have to wait for them. Millstream isn't back to full time yet and needs some time to get back in the groove probably. What 7 races this year total?

$3000 is a GOOD purse for 410 sprints in this area...it's not an All Star show so I don't understand the complaining about dropping the purse from first show of 5k to this show...it's just a non sanctioned show, I read over at Pitgate...Blaney may be there driving Dussel's car.

On top of that the admission price also supports the A.L.M.S. Late model sanction so 20 bucks is not all that out of line.

Millstream has always been a Sunday track, with Attica Friday and Fremont Saturday. There will definitely be a lot of cars in the pits Sunday. The back gate alone will cover a big chunk of the purse.
