Finally getting back on the track after the remnants of Hurricane Ike washed out the previous racing weekend, Jordan Goldesberry kicked off the first of three nights of racing in Illinois at Morgan County Speedway for a non-sanctioned 410 show. Despite fighting engine gremlins, 17-year old Jordan nursed the #65 Redline Oil, NGK Spark Plugs, K&N Filters, Ultrashield, Mothers Wax, Goodridge Fittings, Modern Paving & Scrap Eagle Chassis home in 9th place.
One night later, it was back to 360 racing with the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders at Quad City Speedway in East Moline. Following a 3rd place finish in his heat, Jordan wheeled the bright-yellow racer into the top 5 in the feature, only to get caught up in the aftermath of a last-lap incident between the 2nd and 3rd place cars. Jordan was ultimately credited with 10th place as the last car on the lead lap.
Goldesberry Motorsports then pointed the transporter South for a Sunday night appearance with the O' Reilly MASS series. After bringing home the car in 3rd place in his heat for the second consecutive evening, Goldesberry had the highest finishing 360-powered car in the feature, finishing in 9th for his 3rd top 10 finish of the weekend and his 13th top 10 of the '08 campaign.
Goldesberry Motorsports tenatively has three more races scheduled for the '08 season, with the first of these final events coming at the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders stop at Canton, Illinois' Spoon River Speedway this coming Sunday Sept. 28.
Goldesberry Motorsports also wishes to welcome aboard their newest sponsor, Modern Paving and Scrap of Springfield, Illinois.
