I have just got off the phone with the powers to be with NCRA and it is now official, NCRA will have a Sport Mod division for the 2009 season. IMCA rules will apply and those rules will be posted on the NCRA website asap.
If your a potential series sponsor or a track promoter wanting to book a show, please contact me. Also, if your a driver and this answers your question, and it is a definate and not a "want to," please email me if your planning on competing on the whole series of no more than ten to twelve races.
Also, NCRA will have an NCRA/Oklahoma modified division in 2009 with current NCRA rules apply, except with the tires as NCRA president C Ray Hall is in discussion with Hoosier as to which tire would be run.
Stay tuned for my official NCRA press release on the above sometime this afternoon.

very cool stuff. glad to see series beginning/growing/exapnding - as opposed to folding.
so - there will be a sport mod series - and also a "regular" modified series - both exclusively in Oklahoma?
i know sfs prob wont run it - but it would be great if he did. i think with lanny adding sport mods next year - and having 2 mod classes - i think this is one instance where he needs to hop on board - i think it could hurt him if he doesnt. if he ran em a few times - there could maybe be some good scheduling done so that drivers could run for points at both or something. there i go puttin the cart ahead of the horse badly lol. i just like thinkin of this stuff - and am really interested to see what all takes place - and hope that ncra's modified expansions into oklahoma are WILDLY successful! i bet both will be very succesful...
i cant wait to see the schedules. i know its early - but when are tentative plans of releasing the schedules? december/january?
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a
