Great news from Chad Hawkins (RACERX3C) on Norcal board -
Mike Benson and myself attended the fair board meeting last Wednesday night and things went great! I presented them with a framed and matted race program that Dick Vermeil had signed and included a little plaque on the bottom that read 'In Appreciation for the Support from The Napa County Fairgrounds in Helping Make Our Event a Success'. They were all very positive and grateful for the job everybody did. Patty Sereni said that USAC has booked Labor Day weekend for next year and that she will be getting together with Tommy Hunt to work out the details. She said that she enjoyed working with USAC and Tommy.
Patty mentioned that Tommy and USAC spoke about adding a race, possibly midgets only, but wasn't sure? She went on to say that they do have two JPM Civil War 360 shows booked, but that the fairgrounds would like to add another double header on Memorial Day. Supposedly JPM has declined adding another 360 show, but is showing interest in The 410 Golden State Challenge series possibly returning to Calistoga. Patty also said that they have been approached by other organisations who are showing interest in Calistoga. For me it was just nice to hear them talk about adding a race rather than cutting one out.
So Congratulations, they want you to come back !
