Ike Wipes Out Midget Portion of 9/20 Cowtown Show.
Most teams in the SSMA (Southern States Midget Association) are from the Houston area.
This event was planned 'pre-Ike.' And since the hurricane hit the Houston area so hard, there is virtually no way most of those teams can even think about racing this weekend, not to mention travel out of town.
So the midget portion of the racing card on September 20th has been cancelled, but look for the SSMA to make their first-ever visit to Cowtown at a later date.
To summarize: all of Cowtown's 'weekly' point classes will be racing on Saturday September 20 for added purse money. Grandstand tickets for this 7-division show are $15 for adults, and pit passes are $30. See you all Saturday night, the weather forecast for the weekend is looking great!
