Congradulations to Seth, he was awsome, he almost lapped the field! Congradulations to Brandon too! He got my money for the top finishing VRA legal 360! And he did it starting from the back of the field!! Great job Brandon!

The track was fantastic! Lots of really good wheel to wheel action.

Sorry to see John Aden suck a valve and be out of the race so early, but I'm sure Jimmy will get it fixed and they will be back out there for the next race.

Really -strange- Lightning Sprint feature (for anyone who cares). Piles of cars. Piles of pileups. Barona guys dominated in a show in which the leaders ran a mere half- to six tenths of a second slower than the fastest sprinters. The new upper banking is -really- steep, but that wasn't the problem. These guys were -not- playing following the leader.

The Lightnings put on a great show, the track was hooked ,those guy's were flying...multi lines lot's of movement ,three wide through the corners ....unfortunately contact /wrecks.....worth the admision just to watch their main...but full size Sprints,Dwarfs, mini Dwarfs, and Lightnings all in on night,if you weren't there you missed a great program ..and they got it all done by 9:30.nice job Victorville

I guess my question would be - why weren't the Lightening Sprints promoted at VV, prior to the race? Might have helped attendance.

Agreed Tripcrwn, those Lightening Sprints are fun to watch. Why didn't you guys mention them in your posts leading up to last night's race?

Victorville needs a P.R. person,we can all agree on that.If some great racing fan wanted to help out with postings ,I'm sure they would wecome your assistance and input.A couple of the sprint car guy 's have put out an effort on their own to induce drivers and fans alike to come up,we all want the track to survive and thrive....at Victorville the Lightning ,and the Dwarf both put on a excellent show and I'd sugest someone from their organization start posting their events on this websight...

And the drivers do a great job of promoting Victorville here on this board (Ziggy, and yourself 88). I for one appreciate their efforts. Maybe they do need a track p.r. person, but so far you guys have done a great job in letting us know what's going on in the high desert. The only problem for us is that we go to the PAS and then to Ventura for the 410s and for the last few races VV schedules against them. I would go if the 410s @ the PAS were off. I like the Lightening Sprints. To bad they run with those @$%^& barn doors. Still haven't found out if Aden is driving the Blair sprinter.

Tripcrwn,It's hard to say when John will be back in blair's 12 car ,misfortune, they dropped a valve Sat. night at Victorville and as you know when you tear a motor down you never know what you might find .They'll get it up and running, but this week-2 or three weeks, who knows. The mag took a crap on my litte 'hot rod'so I just coasted around in the main[just to fill the 12 car field]but let me tell you that track was wicked fast ,everyone else was flying.Ziggy and I are just a couple self promoting 'wind bags' talking up the hobby we love, but I will say he puts his money where his mouth is,he kicked in an extra hundred to highest finishing VRA 360[Brandon Thompson] as a way to induce a higher car count.

the track was amazing....ive never had that much fun at V.V

Thanks Ziggy for the Extra $100.....hopefully we can get some more VRA cars.... and ill put a good word in for V.V at all the VRA races to come

The only thing i can Complain about is that theres no Pill Draw and they go by Car points to see where u line up in your heats and the A Main

there should be a pill draw so the Line up is fair

thanks again Ziggy!!

Brandon ,I couldn't agree with you more as far as the line-up deal goes.If you could get,oh say 30/40 of you racing buddies to E-Mail Victorville and suggest they might come up if Vicorville went to a straight pill pick maybe they'd realize the change could make it easier to get a better car count. [email protected] let's make it work up there!

I'm all for that! Anything to help draw more cars! If the non-regulars thought they had a better chance of a desent starting spot, they're might be a few more show up. Hey Mike, if you agree, and think this could be done, please post it here. The only person that I can think of that would be against this would be Hiede Tressler. If there are any more Victorville regulars that agree or disagree with this, please post here.

If there are any non-regulars that think you might show up if they changed to a pill draw, please let us know too.

I totally agree as well, and maybe do it kinda how USAC does it but instead of it being like 20 or 25 make the pill draw like 10 dollars and put ALL the pill draw money into the purse maybe get it up a 150-200 dollars... just an idea

You've got to be kidding me ,you guy's want to emulate USAC's rip-off the racer's crap....Victorville will not survive as a sprint car track the way it's being run.........let's look at whats working in racing and at least my opinion why......you join Ventura Racing Association, you get a discount on pit pass,as a driver you get a supplemental injury/death ins. policy, theres a points fund paid at the yearend, the track promotes the races [there were at least three $2000 to win all coast construction races in addition to the grand slam $2000 to win events] and the purse per night is not based on the back gate. The reason Ventura works is because Jim Naylor wanted Sprint cars on his weekly program and put out an effort to promote and enhance his program to it's currant state.guess what if you ran there last week you walk over to the table ,spin the basket and it spits a line up pill at you...if you haven't ever ran there you get the same chance.............you guys really want to make Victorville work ,start an association,35 /40 racers to commit, find some sponsors to supplement the purse and make it fair and equal to all that participate on each night ...then do your own promotional work ....no dought the track could work ..but I'm not sure they have the time and effort necessary to make the sprinters all they could be...or the Lightnings ..or the dwarfs THE FOLLOWING is an edit ,while I composed the above you guys post a couple more views and while it might appear I was attacking you ,not so I just remember when promoters paid tow money to help bring racers to a show and it erks me the attitude now seems to be screw the racer,it's wrong and I get wound up...

No worries, I understand what your saying and I wasnt trying to cause an issue I was just stating an easy way to add a few hundred dollars to the purse. I just figured it wouldnt be too bad to scrounge up 10 dollars but I also understand the part that its un fair to MAKE the owners pay it,i know I wasnt happy when they did it to us in USAC, and im by no means well off and i need all the help i can get I just hoped by adding the money in the pill draw I would get it back by a good finish

I would be down for a pill draw...LOL....... We can all speculate on this one... LOL, 20.00 for the pill, where 3/4 of it goes to the purse, and the rest goes to VictorVille, I know they could use it to put on More Sprint Shows Next Year... I would Love to see them have 15 next Year or maybe 20. I for 1 Would love to See more Shows at V Ville... They have taken that track and really made it special... I think they should Make Brandon Thompson start at the back everytime, Even if we go to a pill system. He always seems to end up at the front anyways..LOL.....LOL... See You All At The Next Race..... P.S Its Only An Extra 20 Bucks, I Think I Can Afford That To See More Cars HopeFully Show UP!!!

Everyone is a little Crazy in their own unique way...

Its the one's who Don't think they are Crazy you have
to Look Out For!!!!
