What does this article have to do with the election? Issues? Candidates? I'm pretty sure you can find corruption in any government, city, county, state, federal, left wign or right wing.

Ok, let me make this simple for you with the Reader's Digets version.
It shows that the Bush administration has indeed been in bed with the oil companies all along. So, it makes you wonder why anyone would vote for someone who supports and even seems to promote such corruption. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AY-iTyN7c0A

The BIG question is this. Will McCain/Palin EVER talk about the issues???
|
Try this site. It has the entire script of McCains Convention Speech. It may not speak much of abortion or gun control, but I think it hits on most important issues to most Americans. Energy, economy, national secuity, terrorism, war...
I understand it's nothing too deep but you at least know his position. I've yet to hear many actual plans from either of the candidates, just I'm gonna do this and I'm gonna do that...but no how's.

I heard it, there is VERY little mention of the real issues. He keeps stating that everyone will get a tax cut with his economic policy. Let me ask you this.
This country has to borry $2,300,000,000 every day to make up for the budget shortfall. If there isn't enough money coming in right now to pay the bills. How can he cut the country's income (taxes) even more, and keep the country afloat. Especially with the debacile in Iraq?

No need to make anything simple for me, I'm a pretty smart guy. Smart enough to know BS when I hear it. Smart enough to see that that youtube video had nothing to do with the story you posted. And that the story you posted had nothing to do with the election or McCain. And I'm smart enough to know not to make my decision based on 3 minute youtube excerpts or 30 second commercials.
Based on your logic I once had a friend who was gay so I must be gay too....it has to be true cause some journalist wrote a story about it.
You might want to try listening to speeches (entire speeches), catching some debates in the next 8 weeks, getting to know how the candidates feel about the actual issues and base your opinion on the REAL views, plans, ideals, etc of the candidates and not let the media do your thinking for you.
PS. I think your detector is broken.

Your gay metaphor would be correct if you were to join in with your gay friend and his lover 90% of the time, kinda like McCain supporting Bush in 90% of his policies and decisions.
As far as speeches go. I watched EVERY speech from both conventions. I also watch several of the networks each day (Fox included) to catch the day's highlights. I also do my own investigating on the platforms of not only the Rep and Dems, but also the Libertarian Party.
The facts are facts. Look at McCain's voting record http://www.votingrecords.com/ it is in lock step with what has killed this economy.

I make $2.88 Million a Year so I'm voting for McCain.
Honestly, I really don't care about taxes. I pay them and as long as my goverment keeps me safe and free I don't care if they take another $1,000 or not. My hot button issues are energy, economy, and national security. And I want a President who puts the US interests first.
Can you post some equally impressive stats on the candidates positions on those topics?

My #1 bitch is a balanced budget. I have to make ends meet or the repo man cometh. I expect my government to do the same. We borrow the $2.3 billion I noted above from Japan (60%) and China (40%), and that pisses me off. If I want to buy some new "toy", and I don't have enough money for it, I have two choices. I can go get another job to get more money coming in, or I can go to the bank and take out a loan and then get it reposessed because I can't afford it.
Everything but National Security is listed on the graph I posted above. The best place to find thier platform is on their webpages.
BTW, if I were making over $2 million a year, I would have no problem paying a 39% tax...

What he means is that even John Katich can see that this is John McCain and these are his words.
I'm telling you right now, they won't believe their own eyes and ears no matter how many times they hear that man lie and contradict himself. I would have to put their denial in the category of mental illness..LOL It's not really funny, is it?

Please explain your argument here. Nobody is suggesting that this saying hasn't been used before; it's been around forever, everyone knows that. Most people however believe that when Obama used it, it was directed toward Palin. The timing of its use as well as the very next line in his speech he said something about a stinking fish wrapped in newspaper, a reference to her nickname "Barracuda" A little to coincidental for me as well as most apparently:

Smacks a little of desperation if the GOP feels the need to resort to kindergarten misquotes, why don't they just stick to straight fear mongering or homophobia, that's their strongsuit...lol. Speaking of which, an Obsession DVD showed up in my mailbox the other day...lol. Other independents I know received them as well. Someone is dumping big bucks...lol.

In all honesty, with the way Obumba shielded his eyes, we all know the the statement was make as an insult, but in the overall scope of things, Obumba is sort of a funny guy, and it created more problems for him than the Republicans, I would vote for no big deal, but it was on purpose. lol I laughed at it as I knew when he shielded his eyes, he was about to slam someone lol
