California we have to run mufflers. State mandates 95 (some word goes here) at 100 feet. I believe they remember the time when T-Mac as so many love to call him, said all those negative things about the California drivers at San Jose one night, maybe last night someone remember. Picked a funny time, he sets quick time, not once but twice.

i think both t-mac and madsen were called for sound. in that case you are penalized by not being able to be faster than 17th on your re-time no matter what time you actually turn. so.... since matt shelton went 11.984 that meant t-mac, who really went faster than anyone, had to be placed behind shelton. hence the 11.985 for computor tracking purposes. madsen must have actually qualified faster than 16th too so he could be officially no faster than 17th also. since t-mac was faster than madsen he got the 17th spot and madsen got the next spot and the time of 11.986 was given to him for tracking as well. that is my interpritation. make any sense? lol.
