damn i am torn now lol.
was thinkin Ardmore or Lawton - but now throw Creek County and Outlaw in that mix. never been to outlaw or LCS.
1.good folks at Lawton. car count may be ok in mods and champs. put emphasis on good folks. 80 min drive
2.Creek County should have near 20 champs with no ocrs race goin on. maybe 15 mods too. good show 90 min, drive
3.Outlaw - never been. 1k to win mods will prob put a strong 25 car field together - and they may be the track to pick up some of the enid cars since it cancelled. dont know how long a drive from el reno.
4. i forgot about enid - coulda thrown them in the mix - but no matter now, however it is closest track to me in el reno (sat nite track that is)
5. and lake country speedway. they could pick a couple up from enid themselves. not like they NEED it tho. but their Mod and Sport Mod classes look REALLY strong. and of all the places i havent been to - this is first i want to. but crp i know no one down there - which would make sense - i never been. prob. a 1hour 45 min. drive from west of OKC (el reno). but damn i really want to hit this one up. its really the only weekend i can - with either OCRS or Cowtown next weekend.
I am torn! but in a good way
i almost wanna go to Port City above all others. I was lookin at their website - man they get a lot of micro's (i like micros - they are good racin). and quality drivers too. but i literally know nothing other than that. apparently - i'm told i have driven by it more than once heading to MAS = but man i never noticed anything. they got any special or anything coming up soon - like the 20th especially? why in the world am i asking? i'll just look,
can anyone give me info to swing the balance of where the heck i will go? lol. im sure its between lawton and ardmore ----- and creek a really distant 3rd.
i'm seriously considering skipping sat. nite of SFS winter Nationals for OCRS wing/non-wing at Creek - especially if all 3 ascs2 classes run with em as well as their local classes. anyone know for sure if ascs2 is running all 3 classes that night at Creek? I believe the date is 10-11. the CCS website says they are - but the ascs2 website doesnt show anything. i dont like lanny's format for winter nationals - in the days where we had enough cars for 2 B Mains on the saturday night it was ok ...... now i am not so sure. the final night of the fantasy league may persuade me to think differently though..... this year is different than most - used to - i already knew where i would try and go after sfs stopped runnin in september. and yeah i will try to hit a sprint race next weekend (ocrs or cowtown) - and then ASCS at creek too (20th). but that leaves this weekend and the 27th wide open...........hmmmmm........ this is the definition of thinking out loud.

OKC, you seem to be more confused than a Gay feller in a Mens Locker Room.

LCS would be my choice. If you can hold out and wait till they have their Winter Nationals, you could go to one of those races. The wife and I always get a cabin at Lake Murray and make both days. Great show and tons of cars, also can be a very loooonnngg night time wise. I've been at that track till the wee hours of the morning before the final checkered flag fell.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I believe LCS's regular season ended last Saturday. I know the final points night was then and they crowned their track champions. I think the next time they run is the Jordan Page Memorial Winter Nationals on Oct. 10th & 11th.

Well, I vote for Lawton - you need to buy 50/50 tickets And you're right, there are such great people there for you to sit with!!! Thanks for saying so You also need to go to SFS Winter Nationals on Saturday because we won't be there for the Friday night show. September 27th is the final NCRA show of the season, in Wichita FYI.

If you go to Outlaw, and it is a bit of a haul, try to find out ahead of time if the current management was as bad as the last about getting a show in. I gave up on the place because I got so tired of races ending after midnight. They didn't care at all about the fans who drove in from a distance. Otherwise, it's a nice facility even though you only see the tops of the cars as they go by.

screw it. i'm opting to do yardwork - then watch college football all day. and in doing so increase my chances on Cowtown/Six Flags next weekend. need to make use of these Season Passes a couple times before the year is over.
i really wish the cowtown ASCS National Tour wasnt same weekend as SFS Winter Nationals.
wanna hear the definition of great scheduling? on the weekend of october 10-11th ----- you have SFS Winter Nationals, Ardmore's Jordan Page Winter Nationals, OCRS wings/wings off +ascs2 at creek county, and ASCS National Tour at Cowtown, and ASCS2 at I-44's Winter Nationals. wait - how could ascs2 be in 2 places at once. someone's schedule is wrong.
but yet the weekend before it all the only big thing going on is Lawton Winter Nationals. I dont issue any blame to ardmore at all as they dont run sprints - and runnin that weekend really has no negative effect on them or statewide racing. but all the sprint races goin on at once that weekend - i hope someday promoters make their schedules with STATEWIDE fans in mind.
i know i met get told how the cow eats the cabbage on this one - but its just how i feel. i'd like to see each and every one of those races - there really isnt much happening the week before or week after - unless you count lawton and devils bowl winter nationals. whats even more weird is this happens every year with other great races goin on during SFS winter nationals - and yet this year is the first year in like 5 that its on the weekend it is. it usually was 1st weekend in october - they move it back a week - and still. not trying to place blame on any 1 track - - - as a fan it just sucks. o well. better to have too much racing than not enough

OKC if you have not been to an ascs2 race keep that one at creek in mind all 3 classes will be running and they all put on one hell of a show you will not be disappointed. I-44 will be good also if they dont crew the track up.
