The last race at Victorville was great, we just need a few more cars! Thay laid down a bunch of new clay, and it worked well. The track was very fast, and stayed that way throughout the night. We hope to see a lot of you there.

The weathers turning a little milder, that's gonna help. Considering Ventura's running USAC ,some of the racer's there may see this weekend as an opportunity to come and fill in a good field of cars ...Maybe we could even challenge them to Hi-Desert/Sea Shore shoot out...pretty much 'run what you brung'Cowboy racing at Victorville ....what real racer could resist.....

I would be happy to add $100.00 to challenge any Ventura 360 to win against the Victorville regulars.

Just courious how you'd work that? $100 to the winner ,or $100 for the top finishing VRA licensed driver to participate, the second might reward drivers enough to get them to come.....they are 360/restictor gasket/90 d.b. mufflers against open comp 410's

I'll go out on a limb but just my 2 cents worth.. I think 360 restrictor plate cars can beat 410's. Even regular USAC 410's if they're hooked up and your willing to drive er a little harder than she oughta go. I think you have to race every week to be able to drive that hard for 30 laps though. Shouldn't speak for everyone but at least I know I can't go that hard for 30 laps. I would bet that a weekly guy who gasses it real hard like Sheridan or Hansen (love em or hate em) could win in a 360 against the 410's. I bet it could be done even at Perris if circumstances permit. Come to think of it I think Ricky did it a few years ago vs SCRA at Barona. John Aden was more than fast enough on a few nites to win against any 410 who might have shown up at VVille last year as well.

Eric Severson has done well @ the PAS with a 360. And I believe he drives it pretty hard.

Guy's ,all this talk is academic, first off John Aden never once drove a VRA legal 360 at Victorville, the only person to win in one so far was Kevin Keirce. The only way I see to prove your theory would be a challenge, pool together $500 ,going to the highest VRA legal/currantly licensed finisher, then maybe 10 or 12 racers from VRA might come...fill the field...see the outcome....it would be a race with in a race...Dwayne Marcume's finish second,Brandon Thompson, second both in legal VRA 360's it could happen...

We finished 3rd last year with a VRA 360 with gaskets, and mufflers behind Miller, and Aden. A couple more laps, we may of had a chance. The reason I dont tow to Victorville anymore is because of the drive from Camarillo, and the rediculous purse they pay, plus the weather cant be compared to the beach at Ventura. I wish the track luck, but dont expect many VRA cars showing up for a regular show any time soon.

Lets look at the other side of this whole thing,...
Next week V-Ville is off and Ventura is running 360 sprint cars,.. how many of the V-Ville guys that are VRA legal will make the trip????? perhaps the big question is,.. are any of the V-Ville guys VRA legal?? fact is,.. the guys and gals that run V-Ville live out there and would have to spend a couple hundred bucks in gas just to get to Ventura. D-Rod lives in Camirillo (15 miles form the track) Sat. pays more for 20th at Ventura then 2nd will pay at V-Ville. Hhhhhmmmmmmm ???????????????????? where you goin Dennis?

John Springstead is a Great Guy.. I dont tell many Dudes I love them, but he is one of them, He has helped me out tremendously with everything... My dad built the first Iron block 315 wet sump motor his son ran in I belive 96 in the california sprint car challenge It was brandons first race and kevin keirce crashed early and jumped into his ride and started from the back and worked his way up front only to tangle with I belive Ruthoford ? I could be mistaken though.. Hey Springstead, You had me at hello.. (picture that with a tear drop going down my cheek!LOL) see you saturday

I also remember in barona when Brandon Springstead won alot of races down there, he beat charles davis and after the race everyone protested thinking he wasnt leagal, and after the race they checked the motor out, and the guy says "well it isnt a 360"!! I heard people saying I told you it wasnt leagal.. LOL.. and he came back and said "Its a 353" LOL, the look on everyones face was "PRICELESS"

Yeah Kevin and Dan, the extra hundred I'll put up is for the highest Ventura legal 360 that shows up and challenges the Victorville regulars. Anyone else want to add to the kitty? Maybe if we get enough contributors, we can get a few of them over to play with us. It would be nice to have a few extra cars to run against. Come on Dennis and Keviin, get some of your guys together and come challenge.

Ziggy would a 'legal' VRA 360 be required to run a VRA legal tire-VRA stamped/rc3 .As far as Dennis and Kevin go ..come on guys..Dennis ran a USAC race just so he'd be qualified to run the Wag's and Kevin I believe qualified as hard charger at last VRA race so you were planning on being at Ventura and why not,you have the oppertunity to run in the most generous paying race of the season.....but to others who are off this weekend, why not run up to Victorville, the guys I race with always look for reasons to run ,not excuses not to run.Plus with Ziggy's offer you might pick up a little extra pocket money.

I don't care what tire they run or what muffler they run, or what nerf bars or whatever, just come challenge us and I'll pay the top guy!! The only thing they need is those damn gaskets, & a 360.
