Why would there be an issue? There are other tracks that are as small as Ventura, but they have qualifying. Does Ventura have a specific issue that other tracks dont?

The issue is that Naylor doesn't like qualifying. He's struggled to give a consitently good track surface the last few years and feels qualifying ruins the surface for the rest of the night. If he does not qualify, he may not have to bring the grader and the water truck out at intermission to redo the track, but with two groups of sprint cars on Saturday, if he doesn't prep the track halfway through the evening, it's going to be pretty dusty...

Pump your brakes folks before you get yourself all worked up. They are trying to sort it out so that qualifying will take place.

If he wants to give USAC /CRA the best track, run the seniors last-they usualy crash and spin and take a lot of time ,let them bump up against curfew...it'll also give the USAC guys a chance to organize before the crowd is let in........Wag's Dash Night....
