The round 1 results of the Shootout - as well as the scheduled division for the 2nd and final round - winter nationals.

the upper table is the results from this past weekend. the lower table will be the applying divisions for Round 2/final Round - Winter Nationals. gonna do tables so this thread isnt so long to scroll up and down it.....and hopefully it wont be too long to have to scroll left to right........if any questions just ask. just trying to do something kind of new with this. if it works good for any of you - or not - let me know.

Division 1 Pts.   Division 2 Pts.   Division 3 Pts.   Division 4 Pts.

Final Round - Championship Division (will place teams 1-8)
Final Round - Consolation Division 1 (will place teams 9-16)
Final Round - Consolation Division 2 (will place teams 17-25)
Final Round - Consolation Division 3 (will place teams 26-34)

ok so. 34 teams entered/played in the 1st of 2 rounds. the last round is to be Winter Nationals at SFS. another lil fantasy deal for that weekend has been discussed. but wont say nothing more to it has all been decided. with 34 teams. there will be 2 divisions of 8. 2 of 9. Bobcats Bullets was part of a 3 way tie. so the 2nd consolation division will have 9. and the 3rd consolation will have 9. it works out so that there it gets split up as evenly as possible. all tie breakers in the final round of the Shootout - will be done off of appearances. whoever has played the most weeks in the open league will have the tiebreaker - sound weird? - when you see the Open League Recap - the only real way to rank it was by appearances. all that is coming soon - to help make up for the lull and lack of fantasy play until october.

here is the look of the final divisions for the final round - Winter Nationals.

Championship Division Consolation Div. 1 Consolation Div. 2 Consolation Div. 3
1. Sprints Rock 9. Airflow Assassins 17. sonicblu12 26. D Town
2. Wing Nuts 10. Blu20qt 18. Airflow Racing 27. Polish Posse
3. Drifters 11. Sprint Car 77 19. Circle Jerks 28. Dirt Bandits
4. Senorita Sprint Car 12. DAN FAN 20. Ray 18 29. OKCFan12
5. Bull Slingers 13. Cushion Pushers 21. B Squared 30. Speed Racer 22
6. Hodge 23 14. Slide Jobbers 22. Dirt Track Cowboys 31. Dirt Dale
7. Cheaters! 15. Lil Miss Dirt Princess 23. MODS 32. miSan Racing
8. Christina 16. Carr Racing 24. Team 27 33. OKCpop11x
25. Bobcats Bullets 34. Cheese Heads

the above will be each players division for the final round (winter Nationals). if by chance the winter nationals were to rain out and cancel completely.........the above is how everyone would finish. for instance - sprints rock is 1st - because she had the lowest point total among all 1st place finishers. Bull Slingers had the lowest of all 2nd place finishers. confused? lol. but we'll hope it doesnt come to that - so that is where the signifacance of the #'s come in handy above. it will only finish like if dont get another race this year - and honestly - if winter nationals were to rain out - I would probably move the conclusion (final round) to the modified show at the end of october. if this confuses everyone - then i am sorry to mention it - because i doubt it will come to any of that. some might think there were better ways to do a post-season. i strayed away from knock out style tournaments - because my first goal is to make sure folks can play EVERY week ------ with that format - those eliminated couldnt. I may still try that at some point - but for now.................everyone can still play - and everyone will an actual finishing position.

i wish there was a way to thank each of you individually in person or something. its really gratifying to see so many playing the fantasy leagues. i hope it gets even bigger next year. and go sprints rock! - but honestly i gotta pull for the underdog - my 9 year old nephew (drifters). our section will be an interesting one comes winter nationals. we should write the - whoever - to get Dirt Princess's comp. moved to sunday that weekend LOL! and with Christina in the mix - is this truly lawton vs. el reno? lol. where everyone else in the champ division from? btw Dirty Dale ------ I'm gunnin for you. we'll see if you can beat my 7 touchdowns with a missed extra point come october lol. there are many other teams and folks worth mentioning (all in fact) ---- but that will have to wait for another post. with 34 teams ---- to reach every person will be time consuming. but i will try. scoring both leagues took way more time than i thought it would this past weekend.

So ----- who's ready for some RECAPS!?!?!?!?!?!!

also - as i said in the official thread. i hope that i was a good and fair and commish this year - and would be thrilled to do it again next year.

but right now. everyone give a big fantasy thank you to co-founders Dogwater and Bobcat JD Propps. to say both were instrumental in forming the leagues is an understatement. this applies greatly to the Open League. as after the official began - at winter nat's a lot of folks were talkin bout it -------- thought it would be wise to create another league - the open league - so that throughout the year folks could still play - and also it was something different than the head to head formatted official league - this one would be scored everyone against everyone. the open league was really cool this year. lookin at all the #'s every week - and seeing the # of players keep increasing. 16 teams enetered the official by the deadline - but that before the season began. over the course of a season that saw no rainouts - approximately 30 players played in the Open League. with the vast majority playing very often. oops i better pipe it - as thats all stuff in the recap...........
dogwater and Bobcat - as commissioner/player/fantasy fan -------- I thank you fellas. we all owe you guys a big thanks for your efforts.

and just as large a thanks is due to everyone who played. it really is. a lot of folks put forth ideas back in feb. and early march. the end result seemed lot of fun for everyone. everyone literally owns a piece of the fantasy league ------- its ya'll playing that keeps it going. so for the end of this year - and even more so the duration of next year - i hope everyone keeps playing. and that we pick up new players as well.

not being corny. just really enjoyed playing and even more so scoring all of it. its a really neat added dimension to the friday night dirt track experience. fun stuff. thanks to all of you associated with the leagues.

Gotta say thanks to you Commish for putting together the open league. We didn't get in early enough to play the fantasy league, so the open league added a new dimension to Friday nights for us! Also enjoyed meeting you guys and sitting in "your" section for the final few weeks. It's been a lot of fun for the whole familySmile
