Congrats to TK on his first wingless win! I'd been telling him for three or four years each time I saw him to run some wingless races and he finally started last year lol.
Daron Clayton was there in a car for Glenn Crossno and broke the track record in quals. Didn't transfer from his heat, so was scheduled to run the B when I guess he had some mech. woes.

TK is one of the rare few who can master both wing and non wing racing. He is a pro, no doubt about it. Wish I was there to see it.
Cheers!

Did Clayton break the track record, or the non-wing track record? I think that the differentiation is important because the non-wing record was previoisly set some 30 years ago, and with the changes/developments in the engines, tires, and cars, SOMEONE was going to break the track record.

Clayton broke the wingless record with a lap of 19.904. Don't know what the winged record is but it's gotta be around 2 seconds faster.

When I left Norcal, the record at Calistoga was in the high 16 second range.....
