Has anybody heard anything about next year. With a couple classes now consistently under 15 cars I was just wondering if there will be any combining, new classes, etc.

In my opinioin it should be ASCS motors with small wings for supers ($1300 to win), non-wing for champs (sorry Dave, still got that room), limited mods, regular mods, and pros.

And all should have transponders.

Looks like they need to merge factories and pros. Then bring back real factory stocks with a claim. No aftermarket bodies. No excessive gutting. Go back to 3500lb cars. I would like to see smaller tires but I understand that doesn't help the track. I think you would have a sh---load of them. And you've gotta have a lot of them in the pits - they pay everyone else's purse.

As a fan, I don't see the point in two identical looking sprint classes. I would love to see non wing sprinters.

I just think there are too many classes. This dilutes the purses and the glory. Who has to go? dunno.

All sounds good except the smaller tire. The ruts we have seen this year would look like dimples compared to what we'd get with a small tire on a heavy car.

it would be great if the limited mods had a class at SFS but then again it would be great if SFS still had a half mile track!!!!

I like Brandon's idea. The half is dead and gone and i am happy about that. I have to ask, would you rather see em racing tight or see em strung out in a long line going fast? Give me the 3/8 any day. I go to see em race each other not just see how fast they can go. That's for straight liners. BTW, I enjoy that type of racing to. Just so you don't think I'm narrow minded, which has happened before, although. JMO

I think that is another reason why so many people loved the 410 Bandits at Creek County.

Not only were they fast, they were driving right next to each other.

What I understand from many sources is that there will be a litmd mod class at the fairgrounds next year. What they take the place of is anyones guess. I am guessing the factorys.

I'm not quite up to speed on the transponder program and how it works. I can assume you would need some equipment and a computer program. My question is maybe the ORA ha ha or just everyone who buys a pit pass donate money towards that program and say "here" lanny this is what we want to use. It has to better than those crappy radios. Maybe then if the racers pay for it themselves then they won't have the pay the inflated price lanny would charge.

Give Lanny his radios back, put transponders on the cars, give the cone man a chalk board and get it right. That's all needs to be done. Transponders are the answer. The little devil don't need to be yelling in any drivers ear no more.

It would also be nice if lanny and tom would read and take into consideration the article in Cirlce Track this last month. It was the article by Rob Fisher on the future of short track racing. It has alot of good insite and information. Worth the read.

Not from the horses mouth, but I have heard from a very good source who would be in the know that transponders will be here next year.

Why do any classes have to go? They gave the Pro Stocks more nites off than anybody. I say run all the classes throughout the season but at least have one Sprint Car class every nite. Even if there were 6 classes of cars they can make it work with 2 of them off every nite. Other tracks have just as many if not more classes. The problem with low car count in a class is what the rules grow into and thats a lesson that all Racers should learn!

The only thing that I would worry about, as far as the limited mods go, are most tracks in Oklahoma and Texas( that have a good limited car count) go off the I.M.C.A rules. I have heard that wont be the case for SFS, which would mean that not many would come from out of town nor would the SFS cars be able to travel. I'm not saying that you have to sanction with I.M.C.A. just that the rules for this class should match what the other tracks are doing so that you will have the best potential for that class.

Shawn from what I understand the ltmd mods are going to be a hybrid version of the sims.

As far as the limited modifieds rules are concerned, SFS only needs to look at the success this class is having at Elk City and Enid!!! SFS should set their rules in accordance with these two tracks. Its not a long pull from either track and both of these tracks have a very succesful limited modified class. It would be in the best interest of SFS and all the drivers for this class!!!! UNITY always wins!!!!!
