Hammerdown's sight says Jason johnson is no longer in the KKR19. Tyler Walker is in the car for this weekend at Skagit! It does not say that Tyler is the new full time driver!

The way I understand the situation is this...and it comes from a member of the Chastain team...Tyler Walker will drive the car that is prepared for Kasey on the rare occasions when he's able to race. This isn't the car Jason Johnson drives. Apparently, Tyler was offered the chance to drive for Kasey during races at Skagit, Grays Harbor and Cottage Grove since his normal ride in the NMI 24 wasn't going to make the trip. It turns out that the 24 team decided at a later time to go but since Tyler had committed to Kasey for Skagit, he would run the 24 car at Grays Harbor and Cottage Grove. This is what I was told late last week so it could, of course, have changed since then. Anyway, the plan I heard was that TW would drive the third of Kasey's three cars at Skagit and nothing else on either Kasey's teams or the Chastain team has changed beyond that.

I'm sure the 19 car is not near as strong as Joey's car, but the 5 or 6 times I saw Johnson run it he didn't do anything. Perhaps tyler will have better luck.

During the nationals Tyler and Kasey were in the suite next to us 2 of the 4 nights, they arrived together and were laughin it up all night like long lost buds. When Jason was on the track Kasey seemed none too pleased with his performance. I wondered if somethin might be up.....

I would almost bet that Jason stays with the ASCS. He has had good luck running the 360's and with the new ASCS deal I think he will stay. Just my opinion.

I think kasey doesnt put near the money into the 19 as the 9 hell at best the 19 went backwards..and there is no way it was the driver Jason Johnson is a hell of a driver hell if i was Jason i'd stick with the 41 car and get out of the 19

Well, I guess I was wrong again. I truly thought KK had a little more sense then that. I guess I am just old fashioned but I don't understand why anyone in their right mind would put him in their car and have them represent them. Oh, well.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

Why would they not want him in that car? Tyler is a young man that got in trouble, got help, and is doing GREAT!!! It just goes to show people that if you screw up it is never to late to get help.(which he did)

The word that came straight from Tyler (saw him last weekend at Placerville) was that he was going to Ohio to run this coming weekend (29th-31st) to run the #9 car that Kasey occasionally runs, not the #19 car. By the way, in talking with TW for a few minutes, it seemed clear to me that Tyler very much appreciates where he is at now, and realizes he messed up in the past. If someone is willing to admit their mistakes, what can we do but support him and hope he keeps things going in a positive direction? No one denies that he has a lot of talent behind the wheel, and here's hoping Tyler and the #24 team continue to build on a strong season they've had this year.

Interesting...this must have just come together. Lernerville, Attica and Hilltop are getting a real treat this weekend with TW running with the All Stars.

Who would you have him put in the car then? Think carefully because, someone will have something to say about ANY driver you pick. A racer, is a racer, is a racer, results get the ride. At least thats the way it should be.

I can tell from your response that you are only judging by what you have heard or read and not by actual knowledge of the situation. I will say nothing more and let time be the judge.

It will be interesting to see how all this plays out...
If "T-Dub", LOL whatever that means???... steps into the 19, I will be curious to see how well he performs.
It is only my opinion, but I truely believe that Joey carries that KKR 9 directly on his back. Unless they have a nice cushion to roll around, that thing jumps around like a pogo stick.
That said, Joey should quit crying the blues in his post race interviews, about not having done a good job, its hard to be a hero when your driving a dump truck.
