Jeff-You know.
C'Mon now, slow day today?
U.S. Tobacco and the WoO agree to be title sponsored by their product, Skoal smokeless tobacco for the remainder of the '83 season at an announcement at the Lernerville show on June 11, 1983. The new name of the series would then be called the WoO Skoal Bandits Shootout.
The next decade and more the series had either Skoal, Copenhagen or a combination of the two products headlining as the series sponsor. Each year was tweaked for the product of the day business venture between Uncle Ted and Mike Heaton or who ever at the helm of U.S. Tobacco.
Bobby Davis Jr. won the Copenhagen Skoal Title in 1989 sans the Kinser man as he was having fun with his USA venture. Dave Blaney wins the 1995 title as Kinser was off wrecking stock cars. The tobacco company continued until the end of the 1996 season with Mark Kinser taking the point title with his Pops as Head Wrench. Pennzoil was signed in 1997. Jeff-you know this stuff, why you keep bringing it up?
So, mid 1983 through 1996 and your boy in the 11 dominated, of course, when he ran.

I got a Skoal Banner that is about 30 ft Long from behind us at the Nationals. They tried to tell us to put it back up but we said no cause we had top row seats and we paid to have the wind blow on us as it was very hot and the banner was blocking the wind.
