A friend told me today that Ricky Logan may be loosing his sponsorship with Lucas Oil is this true? I know he has been in a slump as of late. Curious if any Knoxville drivers will make the Sprint Invader twin 25 in Burlington this weekend?

Ricky was winning National Championships this year before most drivers even raced.

Yep! Glad someone remeber's! My friend I think falls in the stupid category that has been posted earlier! Ricky Logan was the first Sprint driver I ever met after a race and a super person he was! I'll keep cheering him on in waterever he drives.

HE raced half of the A Main Friday with something in his eye.
Then got back in the car for the world challenge and raced with 1 eye closed for the whole thing. Then left the track for the Doctor after he had raced.

Doesn't to me. I think companies want drivers who represent their company well! If it was always about winning then why does Lasoski seem to have trouble holding onto sponsorship? Personality goes a long way in selling a product for you! I think Lucas Oil is a good judge of character.

Logan has the personality a big company is looking for. The Lucas folks are smart enough to see the bad luck Ricky has experienced the last two seasons at Knoxville.
He blew a tire three times last year while running in or near the top 5 in the A main. Those events easily cost him a solid top 5 in points. The week before the Nationals this year he started 18th and was running 7th when his motor blew with 10 laps to go. He was going to the front with a vengeance that night. They weren't able to get a decent motor together before the Nationals. He also had some issues with the crew early this year. Those issues seem to be fixed with Swank back turning the wrenches.
A touring series would be great for Logan. Knoxville is about set-up, motor, and then the driver. Ricky is always strong on the bullrings where driver skill plays a bigger part. On a smaller track, he can take a 10th place car and make it a winner. Nobody can do that at Knoxville.

Big Pimp Nose you are such a dick, but you have a valid point. If anyone has any faith in Mr. Logan it has to be Lucas racing oil. he was the first person they sponsored and probably will be with him until the end. Ben 10 has a valid point also saying that he has run well gremlins have plagued him. anyone that can win 1 race period deserves respect. let alone 15 in a years time. good luck ricky. im sure Kraig will treat mike well. (see kraig kinser, kaeding post) alt least you will have some decent competition.

I have also got a line that Ricky is going on the road for 09 I would also put money that there will be someone with nothing nice to say about it too. If any one knows Mr. Logan they will say he is a class act and i'm sure Lucas Oil would say that too. So I wish Ricky, and Lucas oil the best on the road in 2009 and the best down there in NZ 2008-9

Ricky Logan is one of the more approachable drivers around, unlike some, Ricky has always took the time to chat with me any time I stop by his pit following the races, and he never fails to thanks us for coming out to the races, it's for that reason I use LUCAS products, Ricky represents them well.

Being in the awards business as I am, I KNOW that Ricky does a good job of thanking his sponsors also.
If more people spent a little to thank their sponsors/ mechanics and car owners, I am sure more sponsors would stick with a driver longer such as Lucas has stuck with Ricky/
Thank you Lucas Oil.
