man i got to thinkin bout something this morning - that id like to hear some weigh in on.
the sooner region is runnin a makeup feature and a full show this friday. pretty stout chance of rain. i hope it dont - but if it does -------- then what?
they couldnt run here the next weekend because they are doing the sooner vs. gulf shootout at waco and devils bowl that weekend. winter nationals would be a bad idea - because Cowtown is runnin ascs national tour. that pretty much leaves championship weekend. which would be awesome because that friday only has pro stocks off - and the sunday all 5 classes are runnin. of course if sooner region ran it would have to be on friday.
before i go too far. if it rained out this friday what could they do? i would think it a TERRIBLE idea to just call the race official and pay out the way they started - hell you cant do that really - because of points and the redraw. so they will have to run it - but when? you cant just have the makeup feature on championship weekend - you would have to have full show with it. if you just did that 1 race - you'd be liable to only get 12 show up for it lol. so we really talkin an ascs makeup feature, a full ascs show, as well as super sprints, champ sprints, mods, and factories. now that sounds awesome - but would the greedy little fat man actually allow such an awesome race to happen? because of ending the season so early - it appears the options are very restricted.
i may be way off on what they could do. but i dont think i am. the only weekend that is reasonable at all to make it up if it rains out this friday - is friday august 29th.
