Why the big secret?

The only way I've been able to find out anything is by asking guys which night they qualify.

Would help to create a "buzz" if lineups were announced but it's their show and, for whatever reason, they want to keep it secretive.

Relax... I'm sure you just got some bad information/misunderstood. Don't they usually wait until Tuesday/Wednesday to post them? Also, they are normally in Wednesday's Des Moines Register. Chill man...

Well, how they usually do it is go by current points in the major series and alternate. For example, the odd number in outlaw points will be wednesday while the even number will be thursday. Same goes for the Allstars and Knoxville weekly points. So by my tally just based off outlaw points, these would be the outlaw drivers' nights. Again, nothing official.

Wednesday night Outlaws:

Donny Schatz, Craig Dollansky, Steve Kinser, Chad Kemenah, Daryn Pittman, Terry McCarl, Kraig Kinser, Tony Bruce Jr, Lucas Wolf, Paul McMahan

Thursday night Outlaws:

Jason Meyers, Joey Saldana, Jac Haudenschild, Kerry Madsen, Shane Stewart, Sam Hafertepe Jr, Jason Sides, Chad Hillier, Tim Shaffer, Danny Lasoski

Now thats just based on the top 20 in outlaw points. Since DUDE is not in Guy's car for the nationals, not sure if they would go by knoxville points, or outlaw points. Again, just speculating here, nothing official and you can do the same with Knoxville weekly points as well.

Wonder why this always comes up...

I am asking those that are do desirous of a qualifying roster what does it matter?

Just curious as I am on the side if you simply attend, you find out the easy way who runs on which night.

The preverbial disclaimer of "Not all drivers listed will compete..."

I agree Michael, even when they do give us the list, it always seems to change as people swap nights so whats the difference if you have a list or not. I will find out whose qualifying Wednesday night when I plant my butt in the seat and scan the infield.

I think Lasoski and Forbrook's car (Sammy) are scheduled for Thursday.

The top ten in WoO points alternate odd/even. Schatz IS on Wednesday. So is Steve Kinser. Meyers goes Thursday and so does Saldana (Kahne was going to race Wednesday, but now will not be available).

Figure Kraig Kinser for Thursday and Jason Johnson for Wednesday. Brooke Tatnell is racing Thursday, I believe. Randy Hannagan is Wednesday. These are just some of the guys that I can remember off the top of my head.

There are always last minute changes, even if announced earlier.

Duane, people are just interested, that's all. What's wrong with creating excitement about the event?

How can talking about it be bad?

This kind of reminds me of the Rumble in Fort Wayne last year. The first night, there was a mass exodus of "fans" when Tony Stewart wrecked out. Those people missed one of the most exciting races I have ever seen as Darland and Wease kept battling each other and from the back to the front a couple of times after they each spun out and brought it down to a pass after coming out of turn 4 taking the checkers for the win! Some people just aren't in it for the racing, but for the star factor or to see the objects of their man-crushes.

Hey, Duane. Maybe I take it too serious also, but I like to check to see who is qualifying that night and actually that is how I determine what t-shirt and cap I wear that night for rooting my driver on.

My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

I very seldom wear drivers shirts, but that is a good reason.

I haven't bought a shirt for years, any you see me wear, are gifts.

So we should all be like you and not wear a racing shirt unless someone gave it to us and not worry about who is running on which night?
