This update brought to you by SmithRacer. His happy and excited outlook on life is just darn contagious!
Well, I've recieved all of my parts as of today. UPS wouldn't drop my pistons at the house since they needed a signature. I called at about 5:30 to see if I could make the long trek and go pick them up myself. They never called me back (of course) so I had to call again. At 7:35 they finally called and said I could pick them up until 8, so I drove like Springer up to UPS and got there at 8:02. Of course the pick-up people left at 7:59 so I was screwed. Luckily I decided to talk to some workers out in the parking lot and told them my story. They felt sorry for me (or were just huge fans), called the big man, and got me my package.
I got back to the shop at 9, degreed the cam, and checked the piston valve clearance (well dad mainly did the clearance). I got done with that about 11:30 and gathered up everything to bring to the machine shop tomorrow morning. So if everything works out and all of the machining gets done I will be racing Friday night! (calm down ladies, I know that makes you all excited)
My next update will be brought to you by SFS, where "if you ain't breaking the bolts off your rearend, you ain't stopping fast enough under red."

Good for you Brandon! Can't wait to see you on the track again. And remember to stop immediately on the red or you will be at the back because Sluggo says so

lollollol heck I can't stop laughing. You got me all excited and lathered up but I ain't no lady.
Unfortunately I won't be able to see you race this Friday night as I will either be in Enid for the first night of the big $10,000 to win deal for modifieds or at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Jnnction, Nebraska
BUT, I know I can read all about your adventure here on "tidbits when I get home - where if it happens you can read all about it and then some.

It's getting closer, I'm going to get the bottom end built tonight and hopefully I get the heads tomorrow.
Thanks for the wishes. It's been a long time since I've ran and I'm ready to race!
I don't know if I'd pick me haha. I have to start in the back and I might be a little rusty.

You were rusty then so what is the difference in rusty then or rusty now?
I do hope and trust you know I am just giving you a hard time. With all the hate and discontent this message board has had lately I just didn't want it to get confused.

Cheese,
What happen to Danny last Saturday at Creek? Sounded like his motor wasn't good after his non-wing heat.

Well for those that weren't there I got to run last night, or drive around for 3 laps. It didn't run good in the heat, so I came in and cleaned the fuel system and put some new plugs in it. I think the plugs fixed it because it ran great the few laps I ran in the feature. I ended up pulling in after a few laps though because I had an oil leak, which I think is coming from the pan that I put on at 2am Thursday night. So I'll take the pan off and real seal it and see what happens Friday.
Boutwell: You wouldn't know what to do in a V-8. That's like 2 ministocks!
Most best friend: Danny broke something in the valve train at Creek during his non-wing heat.

I am hurt. I thought I was your best friend? Oh well, glad you got it back together. I was going to come see ya last night, but I didn't have room for the golf cart. That was a long way down there and I was afraid it would be like excersise if I walked.

What's bad is that I actually believe you about the golf cart.
