I'm heading up to USAC Midget Week and noticed that Southern Iowa has a 30K race earlier that week. Anybody tell me anything about the track?

1/2 mile dirt track in Oskaloosa, Iowa. They have the winged Front Row Challenge there on Monday of Nationals week, promoted by Terry McCarl and Bill McCloskey, and then on Tuesday they have the Non-Wing race for $30 g's to win.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

true 1/2 flat track often very tacky and since this is the best week in Iowa for sprint cars, should be gret car count, normally a few surprise drivers, like stewart and Khane, and many wing driver might take the top off too, lots of info here and other places what do you want to know, its a bit from from the midget stuff too

Thanks, I'm in NC so it's a long haul anywhere I go to see the sprints. And a longer haul to see midgets.

dpphotos, If you were considering the trip you need to take any extra time you have and us it in the area, Knoxville is just 25 miles from this track, and they have their 360 nats and bordex tournement of champions the 4 nights before the Front Row Challenge race at Oskaloosa which makes this race in the middle of 11 striaght nights of sprint racing in Iowa

Knoxville has that "flash in the pan" / I'm in a "dirt track palace" kind of ambiance. Osky is a true down to earth historical fairgrounds race track which is where so many tracks have been historically located. You feel like your back in time at Osky.
