"Foot" Power Could Equal Horsepower at Musco Lighting Front Row Challenge!
(Bill W) July 24, 2008 – As if the $50,000 to win from the back Musco Lighting Front Row Challenge event at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa was not exciting enough, the bar has been raised again! One lucky driver will leave the ½ mile facility with a set of All Pro Cylinder Heads of their choice, courtesy of Bob Williams at All Pro!
The heads have a value of around $5,000 and will go to one of the four heat winners at the Front Row Challenge on Monday, August 4! The heat winners will receive a winner's bounty of a ButlerBuilt steering wheel and a Weld Wheel. After the completion of the heat events, the winners will return to the frontstretch for a "winner takes all" foot race for the heads!
"The fans really loved the foot races when we used to have them here," says Terry McCarl of McTwo Promotions. "We wanted to bring them back, and to have Bob Williams of All Pro step forward like this takes it to another level. I'm sure the fans are already imagining their favorite driver or maybe a driver they'd like to see in their suit sprinting down the front straightaway for $5,000!"
Many heavy hitters have already included the Front Row Challenge as part of their Southern Iowa Sprintweek plans, and even more are expected. In last year's event, World of Outlaws champion Donny Schatz took the $50,000 challenge to start at the rear and was roaring through the field when mechanical ills sidelined him. Rob Chaney was the benefactor scoring a popular win for the state of Ohio!
Entertainment, as well as great giveaways both for the fans and drivers is always a staple of the Front Row Challenge! The race format is popular as well, and as always, the survivor of the head-to-head King of the Hill Races will be given the option to start at the tail of the main event. If that driver can come through the pack and win, they will have a $50,000 check waiting for them! "The Wild Child" Jac Haudenschild did just that in 1999!

The right rear tire rule implemented will be the Hoosier SC15 (the same as the Nationals), and more than one may be used during the night. The other three tires are open.
