CONGRATULATIONS TO CODY "THE KID" METSCHER ON HIS 3RD FEATURE WIN THIS RACE SEASON AT BRILL MOTOR SPEEDWAY, 2ND WEEKEND IN A ROW. THE KID IS ON FIRE!!! WAY TO GO CODY, YOU ROCK.

thats cool - dont think i ever heard of him before this year though. think he'll ever come out to the fairgrounds or maybe run some OCRS stuff? i hope - prob the only way I'll see him race.

He ran mini-sprints until this year. I haven't seen him race, but it sounds as though he is doing a hell of a job.

I'm Telling you, this kid is on fire. And he's a great, really un-assuming kid, well-mannered. My daughter has taken him on as her hero. I'm planning on doing a longer interview with him next Saturday during intermision, if time allows.

If you guys want to talk about kids racing how about Shayla Waddell . She has done a great job in a 2barrel and she show s she can run with the fast guys .night in and out . She is 8th in points at OKC and thats not because she just shows up every night . With all the cars they draw i thank thats pretty good .

Did I neglect to mention that Cody is 1st in the points at BMS, ahead of some pretty talented sprint car drivers????

Did neglect to mention all you got to do is show up every night and finish the race . If you want real competition pay the money like robb and waddell and the rest and let see where he stands at okc

You know, I'm normally a nice- enough kind of guy, I try to keep an open mind, and watch my p's and q's on here while still having an opinion and allowing for other opinions.

But man your getting on my bad side real fast.

#1 This thread is entitled "BMS. "THE KID". It was started by someone who wanted to hand out some praise to a 14 year old kid who's not doing drugs on a street corner or car-jacking people in downtown. But NO , you can't have that can you??? You gotta get on here and not only hijack the thread, but bad-mouth the kids accomplishments. Open your own thread. there's plenty of room on here!!!

#2 I have never seen any race track ANYWHERE where all you have to do is show up!!! Especially not to be #1, nor to have 1; still yet 3 a feature wins.

#3 You're badmouthing the track where I work. And your accusations are common bull. We've had some of the top names in racing in Oklahoma at our track. And the people who race there don't deserve you disrespect.

#4 I openly stated that Cody was my 10 year old daughter's hero. Those darned old school teacher people done went and taught her to read, and wouldn't you know it, they taught her to use the computer , too, which means she can read your vile, distateful vomit, and I'm not going to allow that to happen without responding.

well you know what talk about someone new every now and then . There is alot more people that races there beside him . Not bad mouthing anyone . . the kid is good . but he isn't what you make him out to be . if you really want me to get on meeker i can . out of all the race tracks i have been to . i have never seen people sorry track crew that have to carry a chain around in their back pocket . because they might run there mouth to the wrong people. by the way i have raced there .

Why don't we just give credit to both of these young and upcoming drivers (and the others as well) as they are both the future of sprint car racing in the area and shut the hell up. Some of you people will complain and gripe just about anything. Maybe a few of you could hang around them and gain some maturity for yourself.

all i have to say is i give credit to every single driver that races. I have the money to have a fast car but i dont have th gonads. lol. i think that to strap yourself in one of those 4 wheel monsters and race around a dirt track deserves the highest level of credit. even if you dont win any features they are still out there. so everyone have a wonderful week and try to lighten up.

U have to admit bms does not have the biggest car count. U show up and do not have to worry about running a B feature like the city. Everybody knows the best competetion is at the city. All i want to know is what happened to the win 3 a features and get tore down by the track that brill was bragging about doing? Thats one thing about bms there sure is alot of favortism thats very obvious. Everybody just gets tired of hearing about one person theres more than one person that shows up to race!

Thats all i am saying talk about othere people that race there . Not just one person

Biggest car count? How many tracks does SFS have to compete against every Friday night? 1, Outlaw. How many tracks does Brill have to compete with every Sat. Night? ei. Ada, Lawton, Enid, West Siloam, Kellyville, Elk City, Ardmore and probably some more i cant think of. And their car count is as good as anyone elses.

And you're an idiot for bashing a 14 year old that's pretty good. I saw Robb at 14 and I have seen Shayla, and he's as good as both or maybe even better at this point of his career.

And for favoritism, you dont know squat. He has DQ'd so many people this year, including his top draw and fan favorite Johnny Reed, whether they loved him or hated him, in factory stocks. He does run his track with the set rules unlike your beloved Lanny, who knows no rules and has turned over so many DQ's that it isnt even funny.

And to further add that your an idiot, the limited winner last night did get torn down. And to add that your an idiot, he has torn down quite a few cars this year. HOW MANY HAS LANNY TORE DOWN THIS YEAR???????

CONGRATS, Cody you are doing a heck of a job as well as others mentioned on this thread. We got to be proud of all these young drivers, but, sprintcar9 "pay the money" how lame is that. That is part of the problem with sprint racing. Some have to and can do it on a tight budget, yes, money and new equipment every year and a store bought $20 to $35 k motor would be nice. Maybe you can throw some of that talked about money our way, that should make us faster. Man it sure is sweet to out run the money though !!

Good points Jeff, and yes i have see all 3 young stars race and Cody is just as good or better and Shayla we see her race every Friday when we are racing and she does have some talent and doing a good job too, also on another note we won 14 features last year @ BMS and was torn down after every 3rd win, so yes they do check the cars and they do a pretty good job with the track, after all everyone is human and poeple do make mistakes from time to time, but SFS tears down no body and does not abide by thier rules, but you will get DQ'ed for loosing a muffler, big deal if you loose one, check for whats illegal and do something about it, good points Jeff, get your backup motor in that Mod buddy.....

Lawton is my home track, and it does not have the best car count. But i know that you can not just come every week to be way up there in the points. I know you could idol around the track every week and still probably get in the top 15. There is amazing drivers at every track so i give props to this kid on havin the guts to get out there and drive and do that good! Cut him some slack he is doin an amazing job.
