The August 9th USAC/CRA Sprint Car Race At Perris Auto Speedway Has Been Cancelled.
The Next USAC/CRA Show is August 16th at Santa Maria Speedway.

They were passing out flyers last night. Evidently it is some kind of off-road truck series. It really does suck that we now have to wait four weeks until the next race in Santa Maria. I wonder what the PAS's reasoning is behind canceling the USAC/CRA event. It can't be that people aren't showing up to see the sprints, there was a packed grandstand last night. If anyone has any info please do enlighten the rest of us.

The funny thing is, that there hasn't been a PAS press release announcing this, and the schedule on the PAS website and the USAC website still show the sprints on that date. August 2nd is still shown as TBA. Maybe they are trying to reschedule the sprints for that day. I would hope so, as they are not running anywhere that day. I still think that it is bull that they would do this so suddenly. Maybe that younger crowd buys more $7 beer.

Press release will be on the way. Deal was just finalized on Friday. The PAS had a chance to book three off road dates (booking one or two was not an option - it was three or none). In addtion to August 9th, we are also losing a Stock Car show in September. We talked about moving the August 9th race to the 2nd, but it is vacation time. Many fans, some drivers and team members have plans and it was just to short of notice. If we had a couple of months to inform everyone so it would not clash with plans, we would have moved it to that date.

August 2nd Victorville!!!! Fun, fun, fun, in the sun, sun, sun!!!! I would imagine that with Perris off for a few weeks, the car count at Victorville will be up considerably!

Hoax,I think NOT!.I've already got pontoons mounted on my 360[rumor has it highest finishing 360 get an extra $1000......surfs up!

Anounced last night that it was an Aprip fools joke, as that is when the press release was dated , dont think Sprint Car and Midget Magazine thought it was a joke as they put a pretty good size paragraph about it a few months ago.
