I have a 1991 Nance 100" car that I'm restoring. The date of manufacture on the car is 3/1/91 and the only pictures I have of it are with it painted white & numbered 74 w/ a Chuck Peters driving and later painted gold & white, numbered 8 & Eddie Guinn driving. Does anyone remember this car, maybe the original owner or how I may contact either someone familiar w/ it or involved w/ Nance Speed Equipment? My email is [email protected] if anyone can help out. Thx........

I remember Chuck Peters driving it and I even help with it some in the mid to late 90's. It was owned by Charlie Peters from Tuttle or Blanchard

This might be the car that Ron Smith originally owned. I think that is where Peters bought it from. Maybe someone else will know for sure. I know Ron passed away several years ago.

The gold and white 100"er that you referred to and said Eddie Guinn drove as #8 was totally destroyed in a head-on crash with the wall at the OKC Fairgrounds. The remains were subsequently cut up for parts and the remainder scrapped out. You must have another hunk of pipe. Sorry.

I had two 1992 Nance 100" cars. The car that was destroyed was originally the #98 car of Jeffrey Barker Jrs. So then I put together the old #74 Chuck Peters car together and raced the rest of the 2000 season. I then sold the chassis to someone restoring 100" Modifieds so that probally is the correct car you have now. Glad to help, Eddie Guinn

So it was the Ron Smith #4 or #6v car and then Chuck Peters bought and drove it. Then Eddie purchased it and it is what it is today? Was Ron Smiths car new? I have a picture of it from 1986 I believe, is this it?

The date of manufacture welded on the car is 3-1-92, so if this pic is from '86 it couldn't be it. Thanks very much for trying, anyway!
