When I was scrolling through the points on the 2008 Golden State Challenge King of California Series, on the Padjen Motorsports site, it has Brent Kaeding and Jason Statler tied. Now they both have the same about of wins, each with 1. But what is the tie breaker because I notice BK with more top 5's and even top 10's. It seems kinda funny that a tie breaker would be how many starts someone has in the series.

Can't believe the season for the GSC is almost over. Wow that was a fast year. With just a handful of races left, can Tyler Walker get Jon Allard? I started out the year thinking that Tyler wouldnt really be in contention to contend, however I will be wrong again. He has been one of the most exciting drivers each and every night. What a welcomed addition to the series.

Just curious -

If BK has more top 5's and more top 10's than Jason, and they're tied, then I'd guess that Jason has had a more consistent year overall than BK...after all, they are tied.....

And why would they need a tiebreaker? Jonathan looks poised to win the GSC championship...and isn't that the point?

But BK has one less start that Jason, thats why I mention about I cant believe the tie breaker would be starts. I would think that if someone had more top 5's and more top 10's then another driver, I think that shows the consistancy. lol. The point is to have a champion correct. But in that rare case, it would be nice to know how they score a tie breaker, afterall, some series has a co champion, that sux. Could that be the case here?

I was wondering how this got determind because it happend this year with Brent and Jason for 6th. However, what if the same scenario appeared next year but with the top two. How do you determine a tie breaker for the GSC Series. Why not an old fashion duel after the races are over to decide a tie breaker. That would be entertainment lol
