Is it me or what but i think ocean speedways points are wrong, Furr had a 1 point lead ahead of Statler going into Fri night they both win there heats so no point change,Statler finn 2nd and Furr finn 4th only 2 point change so Statler should have Furr buy 1 point not 7 if you are racing at ocean speedway you may want to keep a eye out on your points, ocean you need to take your soft ware back where you got it from and get your money back

You are right, the points are wrong. I just reviewed my personal results and points for my son from the June 27th. race and figured them out with Saturday nights and there is definitely an error. I emailed John Prentice and let him know and he will take care of it I'm sure ASAP, he always does. No need to worry the lady that handles the points will figure it out. Good idea though for everyone to keep track of their own points just incase there is a discrepancy, sometimes that software has a mind of its own.
By my calculations (and I have been wrong before so don't quote me as I used Oceans 6/27 totals) I show Bud with 203, BK 200, Statler 183, Furr 182, Suggs 170, Tarlton 149, Bonnema 122, Stidham 117, Day 115, Smith 110, Ferris 109, the top 11. These were figured based on the total points listed on Oceans website after the 6/27 race with this Saturdays points added in......in a glance I found a couple of other errors and will go back and recheck for myself all drivers.

it seems the points have been sorted out, still what is up with the finishing order from 7-11. it has sanders finishing in front of kurt nelson which i believe is incorrect. it has newton finishing in front of bonnema and katen which i know is incorrect. how can the points ever be kept correct if they can't keep the finishing order correct.

Looking forward to another good night of racing. It will be nice to see the 600's for the first time at Ocean tonight.

Just an FYI, Both Sanders and Newton took the checkerd flag and Nelson, Bonnema and Katen spun in Turn 1 and did not take the checkered. So that is why the finished ahead of them.

nelson and sanders both were in an altercation earlier in the race. the my laps record shows them a lap down after that, but they were not. they should have just restarted at the rear and been on the same lap as the leader. keep in mind the mylaps shows them a lap down at the finish. nelson blew a motor at, or just past the checkerd. he was in front of sanders, and sanders was not caught up in the cars that spun AFTER the checkerd. now if nelson spun as you say and did not take the checkerd, why was he scored as finishing in front of newton? katen and bonnema were AHEAD of newton at the checkerd and were caught up in the nelson motor blowing deal, wich happened after the checkerd. thanks to bruce velo i have excelent video of this. even though i am on the newton team, i have to agree that the finishing order is not correct. also at the last gsc race at ocean, jon allard got into jason newton when lapping him and jason pulled to a stop on the back chute with suspected front end damage. jason was still on the lead lap when they passed the start finish line on the lap before the yellow. on the restart jason was at the rear still on the lead lap, but scoring had him a lap down. this oversight cost the team to be scored in 21st position rather than 14th at the end of the race. not trying to slam ocean. just noting that with all the teams keeping track of scoring and points and with a lot of the teams shooting their own video, and with transponders on cars to keep track of running order, these oversights tend to stand out. positions are hard enough to come by on the track without giving them up in the scoring booth.
