Smoke was sick WHY did he pick Shaffer to replace him instead of Kraig. He brought the 15 car to the race. Maybe he is interviewing BASS PRO CAN ONLY HOPE. It's time to start racing and Tim's the man to do it.

Yes, and that 9th place finish in a 360 race is sure to put him right in the seat.......

My God!! Jealousy is SUCH an ugly thing.
Don't suppose you ever thought that Kraig wasn't there and Tim was??

Kraig Kinser WAS at the track.
Tim Shaffer did a great job.

Ahhh, well then I stand corrected. I wasn't there, but obviously you were.
Care to opine your own thoughts?
And I never said Tim didn't do a good job, I think he deserves a ride also. But then again, how many drivers are out there right now that deserve a ride also??

I was in the pits last night and Kraig was there. Frankly, the performance of the 20 team has not been spectacular this year. Shaffer is a proven driver. Maybe he was shaking out the car. Another set of eyes, so to speak, since there were no points involved. This would have been a good time to do that. I like both drivers and enjoy seeing both of them run. I would like to see Shaffer get a good ride. I would like to see Kraig get back to running as well as he did the year he won Nationals.
No problem here cheering for both or either of them!

As a fan of anyone who gets in, straps up and provides me with entertainment in a sprinter, I agree. I would add that the #20 hasn't been very good for several years (YES...including Danny's last year in it).
Question though; will any information gained with a 360 in it be relevant to the same car with a 410?? I realize some will be, but you're comparing apples and oranges with the motors and 2 different drivers with (I'm sure) two differing views about set-up and what they like.

On that note, Paul McMahon seems to be running stronger right now in the 6 car than he did last year in the 20.

Without having been there, I can only speculate on this....BUT...
Since this was the Ollie's 360 race that Tony Stewart was supposed to participate in, I don't think the car that you all are talking about is the EXACT same team that Kraig Kinser drives for. This would probably be Tony's Old Spice #20, not the Bass Pro Shops #20. I'm sure a few crew guys helped out, but I don't think it's the same thing. Now I could be wrong, and I'm sure if I am someone will jump up and correct me.
Signature here.

You're definitely correct that it was the Old Spice #20. But the fact still exists that he chose Tim Shaffer over his own driver.
