I hear the fires along with the high temps (tomorrow 111) have a bad situation getting worse. Is there a chance this weeks races could be canceled?

The fires are miles from Chico and pose no danger to this area or the fairgrounds. That's why the fire camp is there. By Friday, the forecast max. temp is 104 and for Sat. it's 100 (more or less normal for Chico for July) and after sunset quickly drops into the comfortable 80's. I don't think there is any reason to fear the races would be canceled.
