Nice one, SMO. You're in luck for a couple days, at least. Our Brittanica dude's comp is down. **silence** Hear that? Golden, ain't it? Lol!!

Of course, I love both types. Love to see 'em go "topless." And the cars are fun to watch, too. lol!

Would love to see more wingless races around here, tho. But, hey, the wings were made for FLYIN'!! Either way, I'm there!

For the weekly deal, as far as safety, I go with the wings. BUT!! For good racing & better competition, it's better with the wings off. Was here for all 4 USAC/NCRA races + when the CRA/USAC sprints were here, Leland McSpadden gave driving school, using both guardrails on the half mile to slow the car down. Good stuff.

Also if you ever get the chance to watch non wing 410 at Lawton, it will make you piss your pants, no kidding!!

You can ask former CRA regular Jeff Haywood about piss'n pants. He went over a right rear going down the front stretch and went end over end over end over end way off turn one. Virtually ended his career. Got that one on tape too!

I love all the non-wing talk. Jim's right, those shows he mentioned are some of the classics in OKC.

I've been to one race program this entire season and it was the Copper on Dirt at Manzanita in February. The only other races I plan on attending this year are the Sprint Bandits shows at OKC and Creek County.

There is another non-wing 410 flip @ SFS I will never forget & that was Steve Perry,Not the Journey Steve Perry , But the Steve Perry from Dallas who flipped & twisted numbers of times during the CRA swing here in OKC. That was an all-timer.

That was probably the Helm 12$ he drove before Shane drove it.

I remember seein Eddie Wirth go over the top of turns 1 &2 @ at Tulsa Speedway ,never let off and come back up the hump, and wheel stand damn near all the way down the back straightaway into turn 3. I really loved that track,I actually looked forward to a trip up the Turner T-Pike,knowing I/we would hit Charlie chicken & a cold one soon as we got there.
