I made a list of all the NCRA Outlaw Sprint Car shows I attended in the seventeen year history, of what was for a time, one of the best racing series in the country. Check out my post at http://racerush66.spaces.live.com

They ran "Supers" for decades before the sprints. Too bad they got focused on doorbangers and let the best sprint sanction in the midwest die a painfull death.

I remember the northern tour and still have a T-shirt from the 93' season. They raced at Jackson, both I-94 tracks, Arlington and Redwood speedways. I also remember Miss NCRA from that season. Well, parts of her anyway....

I was just thinking about this, because of the other thread with Lasoski coming from the back. I always looked foward to that Northern swing, I remember The dude coming back from a flat tire at Park Jefferson one year and winning. I rember wathching a torando to the east of Jackson while sitting in those wonderful old granstands.I also recall watching Lonard Lee hotlapping at Worthigtogn with like 8 other people and then the races being cancelled for rain?
Anyways i ramble plus i cant type or spell. OBV. I really liked that the NCRA brought 410's to tracks up here that dont have 410 shows anymore.

The Only time I was ever rained out for a NCRA Outlaw event was in Tulsa in May of 1994. Stan Durrett was in his last days of running the track. Twenty-nine cars were in the pits, it had stopped raining, the sun was out, people were lining up at the ticket windows, track prep was sort of under way,and Stan pulled the plug, much to the puzzlement of all us in line. Not long after this took place, Stan Durrett turned over the reins to Tulsa Speedway, and its descent to now being closed started.

I doubt if the doorslammers did in the 410 series. How do you keep a 410 series going in a part of the country where there are NO weekly 410 track????????????
For anyone who's curious, I have complete records on the NCRA 410s. Complete as in date, place and winner of all races, plus as many in the post lists as I could get up to a max of 30th.
I can be reached at [email protected]
for anyone who wants a trivia question answered.
