Ok, sorry for the late post, but hell! I just got home! And so did the Cali guys! lmao! Ok, just kidding. Trying to detox from the week! lol
So here is the wrap up...
Everyone was on time expect for Yzman with the Cabo and Humper with the boards! lol We had a great turn out! We met some new faces and some old ones returned to throw down. Mike Sweeton was announcing and helped to keep the games moving along well.
The biggest thing I wanted to point out before we get to the winners and thanks to everyone is a big fat thanks to Hoserville CA, an anonymous well-known California promotor and everyone that played. We donated $250 to the Injured Drivers Fund that reaches across the nation!!!!!!! Thank you so much to everyone involved to make this year's fun just a little more brighter!
And for the winners...
"First Loser's Out" Award provided by Duane Davis went to Laura Archer and Boober!
Third Place: Dreamwalker and "partner" (man you guys are going to have to fill in your names, the list was accidently thrown away) These guys went home with $15 each.
Second Place: Humper and (again, we didn't have your name, Humper you wanna give us some help here?) These guys were both awarded with $30 each
And the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner: Tall Tom and the notorious STUBB!!!!! Stubb was nice enough to offer some money back to charity, but we insisted with the travels looking so bad that he keep it for money home. The both recieved some kick ass trophies provided by Duane Davis and $75 each plus prizes provided by Thunderhead Racing.
Everyone went home with something. We had subscriptions to Flat Out, many t-shirts from drivers like Steve Kinser, Johnny Murdock, etc. Race Chic also gave a ton. Greg Stevens gave some nice stuff for the tournament too. We even seen the apperance of a driver or two to watch the action! Stacie, you are going to have to help me out on the rest of the thank you's. You and Esther did such a great job with everything.
Here are the big thank you's again to everyone involved to make this happen...
Yzman~you know I couldn't have pulled this off without you! I appreacite everything!
Duane Davis~thanks so much for the AWESOME trophies! Love em!
Humper~thanks for bringing the boards! Without you we wouldn't even have a tournament!
Sweeton~thanks for announcing the whole thing! You always make it fun for everyone!
Stacie and Esther~thanks so much for getting the door prizes! You guys always do such an awesome job and I really appreciate it!
Bigshow~thanks for the tournament bracket sheet! It worked out well! Appreciate it!
If I have missed anyone, I apologize! Thanks again and hope to see you all there next year! : )

Stubb thinks he got a tall trophy, I guess the poor guy that has to climb a ladder to see over curb would think that the trophy was tall.

You are too kind Jules! You guys did all the work. GOOD tournament. I look forward to it each year as much as the racing. It'll be sad when, one day soon, the Chili Bowl will be too big for us. Suggestion for next year.....let's play Thursday (or Friday) after last call at the Elephant Run.....I'm sure Laura will appreciate that for one. As far as stubb goes....has there ever been a more gracious winner? The guy makes me sick! He even had the ordacity to parade the trophy around our hotel after the tournament!!

I'm sorry! I also forgot to mention thank you to no other than Alan Holland for donating money to charity also. We all really appreciate it!
Thunderbug, yes, I'm all up for Mexican whenever we can drag Dane that way! Keep me posted and I will make it work.
Yeah, I knew Steve's name. I just couldn't remember who his partner was.
Thanks everyone! : )

OK, I can finally jump in on this thread if you don't mind, Jules.
Sorry that it has taken me so long to respond, but I was without electricity or internet at the house from Sunday to Thursday and I think that I have finally caught up to this point.
First, I just want to clarify what Don Hubbard wrote. I appreciate Hubbard's work and getting the tourney some coverage, but this was NOT my tourney. It was everyone's tourney that was headed up by Jules and YZ with a lot of help from all of those listed like Humper, Duane, Stacie, Esther and even Bigshow. As usual, it was a blast getting to do my part to make it fun. I really enjoy it and appreciate everyone letting me do it. He!!, I finally get to be a smarta@@ on a microphone without making anyone mad.
Thanks to all who participated and donated prizes, I look forward to next year and having this thing grow even more! If any of you are ever around the Joplin area just drop me a line and we'll get together. Shoot, I might even buy the first round!
Sweeton

I just gotta ask Hump, would Stubb in a loin cloth be as bad as Vern in a dish towel?
