The best way to handle this is to talk to Mark not go crying on the web. I was PISSED Saturday Night. but I dont see what good it would do to throw a fit like a 4yr old so After the races I took the video and went and TALKED to Mark and showed him the tape. He said they should not have black flaged me and he said he was sorry. I am still a little upset over it becouse I got punished for something I did not do but it is to late to change it now so I will go back Saturday and drive my ___ off to make up what I lost. Getting on here and bad mouthing the track does not do any of us any good.

Keep in mind that as infallible as we might like for our flagman to be; he is HUMAN. That means he will make mistakes. Do I agree with ALL the calls that are made? NO! And I'm pretty vocal about it!. (which doesn't make me right, just loud!) But in the end the decision of the offficial (s) must be respected, otherwise you'd have chaos.
Speaking of the flagamn, did anyone notice we have a "move over" flag now, and he's using it??
Whatever happened to complete restarts if things get fubar on the first lap?? I can remember when there was a no fault/ complete restart when things got crazy in the first lap.
Anything else I could say about this subject is just opinion, and I'll keep mine to myself, right now.

Ya know the first time you get Black Flaged it does pi$$ off a Driver, but as time goes on the black flags and docking of a couple of spots seem to be part of this sport. This year we recieved a black flag and have also been dock a total of 6 spots, yes howevere discouraging this maybe it is part of our sport and should be looked at as if you recieved a 15 yard penalty for a personal foul in football. Taking a video to the officials is like instant replay to reverse a call which cant be done and in my opinion should never be done. Take your punishment and go on down the road, it seems like the points racers are always the first ones crying about their punishment.

There is a problem with the black flag. Its a lose lose situation. If you use is on a driver for rough driving then that driver is mad. But if you dont use it the the driver that got run over gets mad. And if you are to lax on the flag then you get to much equipment tore up and 3 car races. But if you use it to much then you have no racers left. So the question is what to do. be mad for a day or two then get over it and come back, or get mad and never come back. The black flag has gained such a bad rep. The black flag is not only used for rough driving but also to save a driver some money. I cant count the number of times the flagman has flagged a driver for smoking or parts about to fall off and the diver refuse or get mad and start flipping people off. So what do we do about it. Thats what needs to be talked about. JMO. and im sure this post may make some people mad. Sorry....

You talk about the black flag having a bad rep. Well i know of a few races where the black flag should have been used, but never was. You guys also want to talk about rubbin is racen' Well since when is running over someone in a caution, and running over someone getting off the track racen'? I've coming to the races for several years and i have to say that this year is just about the worst year. You guys are going to have to get it together. And one more question "When is Mark going to get the rough driving to stop in the modifieds?"

Dont worry about Bucky Springer the only way he will ever pay you back is when you hit him again when he spins out all by himself. He is just like someone else we all know front to the back in one lap.

Hey, did you all see those double checkers? Gotta say I loved that, when I came outa 4 and seen those double checkered flags! There was no doubt what flags he was waving, and very enthusiastically I might add. Thanks Flagman!

When I said I owe him one, I meant as in a hot dog and a coke. Not retaliation. Bobby didn't do anything to me, I spun in front of him, involving him in his second yellow and ending his night.

Just goes to prove that for every opinion one way, there's an opposing view point. Some feel like the black is being over-used and not judiciously enough, others think its being under-used, and things are complete chaos, and the truth lies somewhere between the two.

I can't help not to weigh in on this.
I'm all about racing hard wheel to wheel, thats what makes this sport so exciting, but a few of the regulars in the Mods at BMS are out of control to say the least.
The last time i ran out there i got the back end of my car rearranged on a cation, while stopped on the front straight due to an inexperienced driver. I'm not sure if Mark ever had a conversation with this driver? But that kind of stuff is what can discourage a driver/owner from even stepping back in the car. I'm not sure whats going on with this particular car but, the entire year that i know of, the car needs a push to get started, is there no clutch in that thing or what? If your stuff is'nt right before you go to the track, DON'T GO!
One thing i can say about Bucky, and i don't really know you but, we've raced dang hard this year a few times and one of them got a little heated on the track but as soon as we got out of our cars he was at my pit to talk about what happened. There was no Black Flags, and we both finished the race in one piece. I'll race wheel to wheel with him anytime.

how many times in the past have we sat back and said well this promotor has his favorites and this promotor wont do anything about that or this and i have to saymark has come on pretty strong with policing these issues but i for one applaud (if i spelled that right) him and his crew because he is unbiased to me i mean look he had a guy who ran down down there since he opened that deal every week and he stuck to his guns on a call he made 2. you guys are saying when is he going to do something about the modifieds ,they are getting way to rough, he sent a message saturday night i did not see the mod feature so this is unbiased as well but he is trying to make it better not piss people off and i myself think he is doing a dang good job at it................not trying to make anybody mad that was just my 2 cents

Man, i wasnt going to get into this, but, what the hell are u guys smokin? You want rough driving, go to SFS and run and then you'll know what rough drivin is and you'll definitely not see a black flag out there. You want a track that doesnt enforces its rules, go to SFS and see how many times a DQ'd car gets over-ruled. If the flagman thinks he sees you driving thru someone, he's going to throw the flag. Me and Jay got warned once early this year and we both thought we were just racing hard. We both laughed about it, but we knew he was serious. It's going to be his call and there's not much you can do about it. Mark and his staff are not perfect, but they do a hell of a job trying to make it fair. They've DQ'd alot of cars and we all know they dont have favorites and they have used the black flag. If you dont like the way they run things, you dont have to race there. Go somewhere else. But from what i've heard all year long about other tracks and promoters, you're not going to find a much better track or crew.

I agree that they do a good job out there. Its about the only track I've raced at that runs its operations for the cars/drivers and without a huge focus on money. I've seen a few times where they just throw thier hands in the air and say "what do you guys want to do".

Quit crying and driveitindeep it will stick and if theres somebody there oh well. LOL I think you will have problems at any track some people get away with better then others because of the skill of driving and well some dont because of no skill of driving. thats just racing.
