As usual I am excited about the WoO coming to CLS on Sunday. And as usual I am worried about the car count. Here is what i have figured out as a possible car count.
17 WoO regulars
Tatnell
Whitney
Kaus
Balog? Depending on how he does @ Plymouth.
Heskin Depending on how he does @ Kville.
Sernett 91
Sernett 9k
Richert
Kouba
Thomas
Lasoski
I also have these drivers as possible, but not likely.
Sitzman
Winters Husets?
Barrickman
Wilson #16 or #18?
Dewall
Alley
Hindi
Cram
Anyone want to add any cars or subtract any cars from this list?
Thanks JIM L

Does the 34TW team have a 410 engine? I would love to see Jason Tostenson get a shot with those guys.

Justin Henderson....Probably going to Huset's since he lives in Sioux Falls and runs there weekly, BUT he has family in Stillwater and has had impressive runs at CLS. Hope he shows.

Lawn Enforcer-------Yes, the 34tw team does have a 410 at its disposal, we are concentrating on the 360 Northern Plains series and Jason Tostenson is chasing the IMCA title in the 66 car this year. So in the future, we would like to answer for ourselves, as information may otherwise be incorrect. No more Johnsonville brats for you Chuck P.

So it seems that the Tostenson-34TW is going well, I think he'll take the IMCA title and he will keep moving up.

So, how was the race?
P.S. My dad saw the R19 team hauler and motorhome/souvenir trailer at the Hot Spot gas station on 169 between Belle Plaine and Jordan this morning.

The race was really good. Went into the pits before hand. A proud Mom & Dad brought their little kid over to Steve Kinser. The kid must have been about 4, he was holding on to his little toy sprint car and had sunglasses on. Steve crouches down for a picture and he has to point the kid towards the Mom. Steve had a great big smile on. It was pretty neat.
Later before the Feature, we ducked back into the pits. Kinser is puffing away on a smoke and Guy Forbrook calls over to him saying, "hey Kinser, do you want me to hold your smoke?"
The Feature went pretty quick. Steve put a great slide job on Joey Saldana early on. Kerry Madsen went the wrong way in traffic and got passed by Donny who really covered the field. Joey put a great slide job on Kerry later on. A couple of more laps and Kinser may have caught Donny.
It was a beautiful night for racing.

Tim, I think that "proud Mom and Dad" may have been Travis and I! If the little boy had on a red Steve Kinser t-shirt, that was Declan. He talked all day about meeting Steve and then when he did, he clammed up and wouldn't say a word! He just stood and stared at him. It was hilarious.
I don't think most people realize how great Steve is with kids. I had a similar experience with my best friend's son about ten years ago. That time it was after a race at Manzanita and there were tons of people waiting to see Steve, but he still took a lot of time talking to a three year old about swimming at the hotel, the shirt he was wearing, how much he enjoyed the races. It was the same with my son. He kept talking to Declan even though he wasn't getting a response. And the smile on Steve's face in the pictures is awesome.
I fell in love with Steve Kinser when I was about my son's age, watching Steve race at Haubstadt, and my feelings have never changed. He is and always will be the best!
