All day long I get calls wanting to know about THE post. I finally get on here after working and trying to pack and move, and there is no post. What exactly did I miss???

It was only Larry venting a little bit.I guess ole Smith was afraid someone would be offended and they zapped it off of here.

I didn't see it but it sounds like it may have been those bull jewels hangin off the back. People always come in here to Mr. Pickup asking for them and we send them down a couple blocks to the stockyards. They sell em at little joe's boots. Pretty vulgar lookin though.

Rick had a big inflated pacifier with a 29N on it.

I got no problem with any of the Barksdales or with Larry. But, the original post by Larry was a bit strong. The Barksdale response was a good one.

many of us refer to lanny as a midget. sounds like a personal attack right? not really. the guy is just flat ass short. and he aint all that nice so he's a mean short guy - hence a midget. lol I dont know where the hell I was going with any of this and am out of control............except to say that - that is a fact. he is legally a midget in 27 states. its not really an out of line personal attack to call lanny a mean greedy midget. because these things are true - and there are only 10 factory stocks - and its his fault. and his tracks are rough and hurts the Villains feeling and makes him go away. and he counts money while he makes slugo do all the work. and dont forget the fact that he is still legally a midget in 32. yeah it was 27 - but now it is 32. why? because in my head the # keeps growing - I can't really explain - sometimes weird phenomenons like this just happen but it is ok........and we all want to see racing on the half mile again - and it is the mean greedy fat man's fault we can;t have that. yeah thats right - he is fat now too. why - because I said it! something has to compensate for him being legally a midget in 34 states - the # just keeps growing. I'm not in control - CCC has taken over and you are all in danger. but it is ok - because the dam corn dogs cost too much money......and it sucks that he gets em for free! ya gotta remember Zapata! because as that great man once said "it is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees" - that may not be exactly what he said - but it's kinda catchy ain't it? and damn it that is why I want Lanny to PAY FOR HIS CORN DOG!!!!!! and riddle me this, the guy who is in charge of the track - who has the final word over everything SEEN on the track and uses his expert judgement - how is this guy supposed to officiate the race when he is standing down on the front chute eating his corn dog????? there is a wall between him and the track that he CANNOT SEE OVER!!!!! I mean what the hell does he use to see over the wall - - - a periscope. I mean how ironic would it be? that the only cost to better officiating at SFS is to go over to the front stretch and give the man a "boost" - or a "piggyback ride" and the same thing - I want to take Porter's advice and ask Lanny for a nice lil ride around the track in the truck - but the aforementioned problem comes into play. he may not be able to see over the wheel. so with this in mind - I could bring a pillow or steal a kiddie chair from a restaurant a tear the wooden legs off it - so that he could use it to see over the wheel and our lovely late afternoon could run ahead as we planned it! and afterwards I'll even give him a hug! - and with his reinforced belief in the good of humanity he might not be so mean to everyone - because someone gave him a pillow and a hug and damn it that meant something! just like the boost the ladder and the piggyback ride! and to address the greedy part - - - well - come on he has the Chili Bowl. so lets just pretend that that is enough for him! seriously ya'll this is how great things are done. through ingenuity. is the corn dog really worth it? is Zapata to be ignored? just remember - that such an incredible man is still ------- legally a midget in 39 states. and that by noon. 39 will have become 50. we may add puerto rico later - - - but we may not because mexican food is just better. and that also - we may say yay! to 50+ sprinters - but Lanny may not be able to see em from the front stretch - and he might appreciate it if someone would bring him a ladder so he could see it too. he might even give you a hug. and then you could tell your grandkids - many many moons ago that you gotta hug from a senior citizen who still had a full head of hair - and that hasn;t wasn't gray - it was brown! - and it was awesome! and maybe they could one day tell their kids................how the Villain, a hug, a corn dog, just for men hair gel, a pillow, a watertruck, ZAPATA, a legal midget in 46 states, a ladder, a boost, and a piggyback ride-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------all came together to make State Fair Speedway the premier racetrack - IN THE WORLD!

this is how legends are made.

I felt in honor of my job paying me to do absolutely nothing right now - - - - I'd start a story that finished itself. this is seriously meant in no way as disrespectful towards Lanny Edwards. it really isn't. he's gonna bring us 2 incredible racing shows in the next 10 days. and in honor of that --------- go give him a height enhancing object. and maybe a hug too. there is no way it could be easy - to legally be a midget in all 50 states (and puerto rico someday) of the United States of America. when I hit this little button to the left that says ::post message:: either a legend will be born or a fate will be sealed. this is CCC signing off - - - ya'll can have OKCFan12 back later. now is my time!

What in the world!!!! LOL...Whatever you had for breakfast today, you need to share! I really had to laugh about the corndog bit, as my husband went to get some for the kids last friday night. As he was patiently waiting, Lanny walks up, doesn't say a word and they automatically hand him a corndog! Thanks for the laugh today!

fan 12, speek for yourself. I don't really care if they ever race on that half mile again. It's my opinion and others also that the half mile don't produce much racing. only follow the leader til the checkered flag falls. Sometimes you may get to see a guy pass on restarts and one guy come from back a ways but mostly follow the leader. I know it produces alot of speed but i'd rather see em race with each other.

Let's get it started. Take the wings off and you would see a lot of passing, I know Skeesiks has seen this happen. All you have to remember is NCRA - 100 inch cars. Remember when we had 50 to 60 cars and summer and fall nationals.

Okay, I'm in.

100" or 86", NON-WING was the way to go. Yes, people got hurt. But then they did what they loved. I run accross many old fans who quit going when the wings came in. Many who would help fill the stands today.

Although wings took us to another level of safety and speed, they took away from the day-in, day-out entertainment value.

However, I am a "hypocrit", if I had a kid in a sprinter, i would want him with a wing for the safety.

Having been doing this stuff since the 60's; give me no wings any old time. You gotta admit it's better racing. Way easier on engines & tires. Safety?? Yeah; maybe. With todays equipment; so what. They have no problem in USAC or out west.

Think about it, in 1980 we raced the 100" cars on 1/2 the money for twice the purse!! Sorry this 3/8's track is gladiator school. We are still racing the # 11 with Peters & Goodman & every single week this year we-ve gotten bent. Non wing on the half-mile!!!! Oh YEAH!

Remember Peters & B. Jennings in the 80's. GREAT racing!
