http://theeprovocateur.blogspot.com/2008/06/my-plan-to-bring-oil-to-20barrel-and.html
my first impression of this article is really good. it addressed an effective way to end the speculation as well as addressing the low value of the dollar - which both happen to be the leading cause of our high oil prices.
it also promotes putting maximum effort into putting alternative energy sources in the mainstream EVENTUALLY - like workin on it hardcore so that when the oil starts to go bye bye - we will be comparitively ok and not getting into energy wars with china.
this is more intelligent than most things I've read on this critical issue - what do ya'll think?

Given all that's been reported lately, it seems to me that the weak dollar, higher worldwide demand, and market specualtion are the causes for high oil prices. If you can't understand that, well, then I can imagine that you'll buy into almost anything that starts out with "...$20 a barrel...."
And open up and sell the Strategic Oil Reserve? Yeah, that'll do a lot - until we empty it in about a month.....Then what will we do?
