On a great nite of racing, thiugh a little nippy, some of the San Diego county notables attending the gala event were The Gene Adams, Gene and Gracie, Mr. Don Reed prominent former SCRA official and others. Notable absentees were Mr. Turn4Rob, noted denizen of the higher areas of the Perris Auto Speedway, Mr. Ralphie of the Ralphie Section Charitable Foundation. Mr. Ralphie is a notable contributor to unfortunate race car teams. Mr. Ralphie can be excused as his presence might have been required at another gala evennt at Santa Maria, Ca. All attendees were teated to a fine night of competive motor racing at Mr. Jimmy Naylors seaside racing venue. Mr Josh Ford, prominent strawberry scion of Camarillo, Ca was the winner of the USAC mitget go. The miget go was graced with the presence of Ms. Shannon McQueen and Ms. Randi Pankratz, daughter of a prominent racing family headed by Mr. Wally Pankratz. Mr. Pankratz came out of retirement for the 3rd or was it 4th time to compete in the Ford Focus event. The sprint car extavaganzer was won by Mr. Kevin Kierce, aka Anybody But Kierce, of Reseda, Ca. with Mr. Brian Camarillo of Agromin fame capturing show and the winner of the midget feature Mr. Josh Ford claiming 3rd. Mr. Naylor treated the crowd with his T-shirt cannon to the delight of the small fry in attendence. Catering for the event was provided by the Ventura Fair gastronomical organization and the Fire Truck coffee asso. A good time was had by all, and a thrilling nite of motor competition was provided by the VRA and USAC.

Until next time dear readers at Perris, your editor will gratefully accept social news of of the racing community.
